Elasti, its normal for the bleeding to get worse when feeding alot but given recent history I'd call the MW just to be sure
if you don't have a number then call the labour ward
Welcome along, tell us about baby; name, weight etc
yes Carla we go o the 2nd, I'm so unprepared!!! and 3 days after we get back it's Chris's birthday!0 -
OH is home and thankfully full of beans to keep Rhys entertained..
His confession of the day.. he took his RC helicopter into work and was playing with it in the warehouse and crashed it from a great height0 -
Elasti, have you been doing anything extra today? That you haven't been doing? Just a walk, or hoovering can be enough to start off bleeding again. Or it could be a period, or even a 'mini period' if the lo went longer without a feed, or because lo has been feeding a lot more than usual it can cause the uterus to start contracting again. If you are worried do call NHS24/direct and speak to someone, especially if the heavy bleeding continues. But for the first 6 weeks I had to wear a pad, sometimes nothing happened, sometimes I had a bit of a flood, sometimes a trickle. Did eventually settle down by 8 weeks.
I came on to ask something and forgot...
Harley, 4 nice dresses and 1 that you can decide if you like or not, 1 lovely cardi and a pink coco 'abonable snow baby' coat (that will need washed sorry, I just grabbed it out the jacket cupboard) are all packed up and I'll post them out next time I'm out. May not be for a few days because I can't drive right now with the ear infection.0 -
Welcome Elastigirl and congrats.
I'm not sure if its different after a section (mine was a very long time ago), but after V was born, my bleeding was on and off for about 6 weeks!, and seemed heavier when she was feeding a lot. But, ring your MW, HV or NHS if your worried.searching_me wrote: »on the room thing jaydens with us simply coz i only have a 2 bed flat and at zoes age i really dont want them sharing ..
Same here - V is still in with us, luckily our bedroom is quite big (considering the rest of the house is the size of a shoebox!). When she does go, she'll be going to share with Liv and although she normally sleeps all night, I don't want her disturbing Liv........also, Liv faffs about quite a bit up in her room before bed so I don't want Liv disturbing V!

As for a sex life, we've also just bought a huge new sofa!
I had a successful days shopping today. Got quite a few bits for all three in Next. The best bargains were in Peacocks. I got two pairs of track pants for Joe, three tops for Liv and a dungaree outfit for V - all for £11. :money:
Searchie Do you have a Peacocks? Ours has only recently started doing kids stuff, but they had quite a lot left in the sale on rails for £2, £3 & £5. (But they still don't do kids stuff online.)
And anyone looking for a carseat, we spotted this on in Argos. http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001801&langId=-1&productId=1500484941
We've bought one as a second seat in MIL's car - not expecting much for the price. But its really nice, reclines and V looks comfy in it. So we might get another for us.
Its actually suitable from birth to 4, but looks a bit too upright for a new baby.:beer:0 -
3 i have a peacock but its a distance away 15 mins on the tram which is a pain as when i lived in london i had one just down the road was always handy ..
as for sex live .. we have a very active one just never seems to be in the bedroom :rotfl: xStill searching .....:)
