I use a microwaveable wheat pillow sausage-thing. You can make a make shift one by putting rice in a cotton sock or pillowcase tied to create the same effect. Make sure the sock does not contain synthetics:eek:

BeenThereDoneThat - not everyone does it for attention at all - parasuicidal behaviour is a clinical name for when people self-harm specifically because they want to be offered help but for whatever reason can't or won't ask for it. It would be much easier to deal with self-harm if everyone who did it was looking for help - people who hide it are harder to spot and harder to reach. I hope I didn't offend you - it wasn't my intention.
No I wasn't offended at all - I just wanted to make the point that not everyone who is self harming and/or making unsuccessful suicide attempts is doing it for attention.

The list as it stands is post 11951. I have updated it with anyone who has asked for it. If I miss anyone, PM me please. I will keep it updated for the moment and it can be posted on the new thread when we get one if that's what people decide to do, and anyone who wants to take it on can. If we decide we don't want a list, it can die out no problem.

I think I would still prefer a separate thread for bargains/questions though and this should be kept as a chat thread but that's just my opinion and as I don't post as much as others (normally!!) I don't think it's my decision.

Off to make dinner now. Pasta with Smoked Sausage & Garlic Bread hmmm.

Bookmarked incase it gets lost :rotfl:

the debt i have is slow built up stuff which started when i was on smp for my ectopic and i just never recovered ... what a !!!!!! though im a strong believer in karma x

Karma really will bite him on the @ss one day. Ive never had a credit card nor overdraft then met ex and stupidly got a loan in my name for his car as I was being offered far better rates. We had bought a house together so didnt expect to be lumbered with the car loan but we split and I was. I see it as I had to go through that to meet current wonderful OH and have my gorgeous princess Isla :o
Wooooooooooooooooooooh! I go through Longsight on the way to the hospital - yes, Andrew was born at St Marys about a month after the new hospital opened, and that's where his regular consultant appointments are too. You realise that we're actually obscenely close and should get together occasionally?

Yay :j:j That'd be fab Tigs. If you've ever been in Asda Longsight or past it your at my house :D Feel free to pm me if you want to meet up sometime, you can try Andrew in my mei tai or stretchy sling too if you like.

    Hiyah

How's everyone? I love flex time, finished at 3.30 and was home for 4.30 :D left early today because of the Manchester derby, no way was I getting stuck in that traffic.

Does anyone know a cure for getting rid of a stiff neck/shoulder? Must've slept funny last night and it blimmin hurts. Took some strong pain killers but felt woozy?

OH left earlier because of the derby, Ive been winding him up that City will win anyway :rotfl: I always find a hot shower directed right at my neck/ shoulders when their stiff really helps.

MOTM - the tshirt is off my brother and appeals to his sense of humour. He's bought her one which says 'does my nappy look big in this vest?' because I use cloth nappies so she looks like a fatty. Sorry to hear things have gone wrong again at the school, it had seemed like you were getting somewhere with them.

SS - I think that was a troll xx
I'm actually a regular poster on here but didn't want to admit to attempted suicide and self harm on a public forum which could be read by anyone. It hadn't occurred to me that anyone would think I was a troll but on reflection I can see it is quite an obvious conclusion to draw. If you want to know who I really am, you are welcome to PM me and I'll PM you back from my regular account.
