How's everyone? I love flex time, finished at 3.30 and was home for 4.30 :D left early today because of the Manchester derby, no way was I getting stuck in that traffic.

Learnt more on the system today it is actually quite easy and better than the previous system (which was installed in day dot) the only confusing thing is
you do everything back to front :o

Does anyone know a cure for getting rid of a stiff neck/shoulder? Must've slept funny last night and it blimmin hurts. Took some strong pain killers but felt woozy?

sounds like things are going well at work :)

i'm not looking forward to going back... we had new systems installed in the october before i fell pg so had about 9 months using them....couldnt even tell you how to login at this moment in time let alone book a holiday on it!! lol !!

    i use deep heat.tiger balm if i have a stiff neck/shoulder

What barstools MOTM!! It isn't even your daughter's place to make such a decision, I can't imagine the thought process that would place such an important task in the hands of a vulnerable child GRRR

I'd never met the deputy before until recently. Year Head i'd naturally met at the beginning of the year. I'd rather I didn't have to have the displeasure of their company again, especially as one of the lines they gave to 12yo yesterday was that 12yo needs to be moving forward as 'teacher would like to come back to school'.

Governor said he'd call me this evening when he'd been to the school and said he was, and to be fair, sounded like he was gobsmacked.

I'm not updating the thread anymore because of one or two troublemakers.

Meant to ask, how cold is it where you are? I know it's picked up here, but your area?

I use a microwaveable wheat pillow sausage-thing. You can make a make shift one by putting rice in a cotton sock or pillowcase tied to create the same effect. Make sure the sock does not contain synthetics:eek:

Unbelievable. The teacher's desire to get back into the classroom supercedes a child's feelings of safety. The school has a duty of care to pupils that far outweighs the desires of someone who shouldn't be allowed back with his old class anyway - how's he going to teach with all the kids trying to goad him into doing it again?

It's boogery freezing here. I was halfway up to my knees in snow today, and out in the country yesterday I was lucky not to disappear altogether  Luckily we have the infrastructure to deal with it and so transport etc runs fine, but all floors everywhere are covered in black slush and whenever I take my boots off they leave a slush puddle and I hate it.

Alot have been very helpful and shall continue helping via PM. Some want blood and all I want is 12yo's's best interests met.

I went to a meeting with head governor to see the school on Monday and governor told them off and we came to some agreements. I wouldn't take it any further if 12yo had a number of things guaranteed. They provisionally made an 'offer' that we had to go away and think about and answer after this Friday's governors meeting, but school have now messed it up and we're not happy.

It baffles me and many others, but he's obviously popular with the hierarchy at the school. Anyone who justifies his, or the schools actions has no interest in child safety, no matter how much they try and justify their opinions.

 Still snowy? Is that all over the country? It's warmer here now. Not warm, but not that cold either.

The list as it stands is post 11951. I have updated it with anyone who has asked for it. If I miss anyone, PM me please. I will keep it updated for the moment and it can be posted on the new thread when we get one if that's what people decide to do, and anyone who wants to take it on can. If we decide we don't want a list, it can die out no problem.

I think I would still prefer a separate thread for bargains/questions though and this should be kept as a chat thread but that's just my opinion and as I don't post as much as others (normally!!) I don't think it's my decision.

Off to make dinner now. Pasta with Smoked Sausage & Garlic Bread hmmm.
