Gawd, Amber poo's about 4 times a day, it looks like cheap curry sauce :rotfl:

I take it that's also normal though? I'd not really thought about it.

She's contently fallen asleep in her basket, while i was in the shower but i need to go out soon. Why couldn't she have done this at 2am when i was begging her to let me sleep!!

Caitlyn only poos every other day or so, and it's a lot firmer now - paste like, and there's not much of it fo all the effort she seems to put into it!

Took this the other day, it made me giggle

MOTM, i know, i wish i'd have put myself on the list years ago but they'd only let me go for a 2 bed then so i guess i'd be no better off. I don't think my DS is going to be happy about sharing with a 4 year old girl, when he's 11. Only other option is to keep her in with me, it's not like it's going to affect any relationship/sex life is it :rotfl:

thanks all! He doesn't seem distressed by it (as far as I can tell!) nor is there any hardness in his abdomen. I'll phone the HV when I get a chance this arvo but otherwise keep with the massage and see what happens. Weezl, that's what I've read - they won't consider it "constipation" until there's either hard pellets or blood. Finn's not had any of that - just no poo! (well he's had the odd streak but no actual poo for a week) He's had millions of wet nappies, so I know it's not a nutrional thing.

I'm drinking a big glass of OJ right now, but doubt that will help as I had a pint of OJ in the pub when sick on Sunday and that didn't move anything . I just want to get it over with now, as I know it will be explosive when it does come (a la emlou!)!!

Right, I said I was going to bed at 10pm. Still got bottles & lunchbox to do

I used to just draw the ciurtains but not blind for Chris but Jack is clearly a baby that likes to sleep in the dark (hense muslin over face thing) as long as he sleeps it doesn't matter and get OH to make his own sodding lunchbox! The only time I go anything for OH's lunch is when we have pasta I make extra and put it in a box for him (mean wifey )

Aless - as long as when he poops it isn't solid, once a week pooping is fine for a BF baby Ed has only gone 1 week once but he was still weeing lots and when it arrived is was liquid (and everywhere lol) so all fine

Only here quickly skim reading because I only made it into work at 11am!!! The CM was taking her girls for the swine flu jab this morning so I made a snap decision at 7am that it would be better for her and the girls if Benjamin didn't tag along....any excuse to spend an extra 3 hours with my boy!!

Elijah decided to wake at 4.30, having a quick wail then lengthy ongoing babblings to himself. Ignored him as long as possible, but at 5.15 he started banging his cot into the wall and I went and got him and tried sticking him in bed with OH for a BF. this is the link for iplayer for the programme last night, i only saw bits of it as i was feeding and settling kian.
the gist i got was as long as baby gets a balanced diet (plenty of fresh veg etc) they dont need follow on milk ( 1yr +). the c&g as about needing 20l of milk is a bit ott. no reason why after they turn 1 they shouldnt drink cows milk. sugar is added to lots of baby foods/drinks to make them sweet as babies 'apparently' need food/drink to be sweet to eat/drink.

for me the shocking bit was the fact that there is more sugar in 1 farleys rusk (presume its the normal one) than 1 choc digestive!!!!

and annabel karamel ready meals for toddlers...had more salt than tesco finest in the same type (cant remember which one)

need to watch it again myself when i have time later.

That shouldn't be a shock to anybody on here. We had this discussion a week or so ago...the general consensus was that rusks don't do any harm...

I personally, and I said this at the time, would never allow Benjamin to have a rusk.
(I do let him eat pizza though - I am not claiming to be an angel!! I just think the ingredients in rusks are shocking)

By the OJ trick do you mean drinking OJ yourself?

What you eat will affect baby. If you drink OJ (or for me it was eating grapes) you will probably find that he goes pretty soon. Benjamin used to poo very infrequently (5-8 days) - these days it is 2 or 3 or even 4 a day, all in the morning according to his CM.

I wouldn't worry about a week TBH...although I am sure I did at the time!!

I'm sure they only end up "needing" things to be sweet because the baby food is made sweet so they get used to it.

Brestfed babies can be very variable with poos but if in doubt always check with someone. You can always phone NHS direct.
