SM - So how come they are trying to shaft you over for CT? Did they mess up? Refuse, or give them a whopping £1 a week.

I'm beating the old horse here but when tax credits shafted me (GRRRRR) they were wanting me to pay back £250 a month :eek: OH was taking home £160 a week, GOOD ONE!! I had to lie to them on the phone to account for all the money, smoking isn't classed as outgoings (yeah but what if you cant stop, and I wouldnt stop just to give them the money that's FISSURE!) I told them I owed OH's mum money for a washing machine, said that we only ate organic free range (the woman told me I should be buying value (I already was lol) as paying them back was more important) I ended up going on a big rampage telling her Im only doing what the government is telling me too AND DID SHE KNOW HOW MUCH A PACK OF PEPPERS COST!!!

Oh yes, and I'm being stalked by a friend of one of OH's friends. Keeps asking me out for coffee and meals, says HE WONT TELL ANYONE....

I'm having a right bl00dy fight with tax credits at the minute telling me I owe them over £700 and I dont !!
They said I gave them the wrong income figures, but they cannot find the phone call on their system to let me hear myself tell them the wrong figures, and I know I didnt !! They can go f**k them selves if they think I am going to pay it !!
I apparently am going to court at the end of the summer as that will be my 10 months to fully repay after my first warning letter up !!

MM, that's what they did with me!! Said I didn't tell them that me and OH were living together, when I did, because I had to call them up and give them a change of address. They supposedly couldn't find a record of the call either.

They said I should of noticed because OH's name wasnt on the new form, but I was 18, I thought it was like Child benefit and because it was paid into my account, thats why it just had my name. I had no clue!!

And also, I would of been getting more money from them if they had chaned it properly and apparently THATS FRAUD!! I had to pay back a whole years money Cause I called them up to say he had started working and they were like WE HAVE NO RECORD OF YOU LIVING WITH HIM. HE wasnt even working before that so its not like I was diddling money, I DIDNT EVEN KNOW!!

They are SCUM!

In my case, Chris was starting to get incapacity benefit and it was at the same time as renewal was due, so I phoned them instead of sending in the form as the figures would have been completely wrong. They put down my predicted income for the following year as my actual income for the year finishing and then said I only gave them the one figure !!
