Krystal - My fairies have got some ebay testing strips. If you'd like them to pass a couple to your faries, send directions. ;)

ETA: My curry has just arrived, i'm off to eat. If I don't come back, I hope everyone gets a good, full nights sleep. xx

My statement from the beginning was that I wanted even numbers of children, and he says he's in for two or four or six, but if we have six we have to pick the four favourites to go to university and teach the others circus skills. He's delighted that we've given up the contraception again, not that it lasted more than a month...

I'm glad Kai's doing better, it's horrible to try and force medication on a pre-rational baby. Do you think he's put the nasty medicine and feeling better together? Molly either figured it out with baby Calpol or just got used to the taste because after three days of it with her sinus infection she was ganneting the Calpol and holding her mouth open like a baby bird :rotfl:How do you find having a smallish one and a bump? Are you uncomfortable yet? You said you think it's another boy, does it feel the same or are you assuming based on the older three?

    [/shamelessly pumping for information] :rotfl:
Awww, does anyone else suffer with sinusitus, only asking because dh does quite badly most of the time and ds2 seems to be the one who it has been passed on to...the other two seem ok?
I feel ok with a bump and littlie, although i've been here before, just not quite as little last time. There is a 23mth gap between the 1st two! I am jealous of those of you who are planning to get pregnant now or in the coming months/years because I know this is most likely my last ickle baby as dh is pretty adamant he is getting the snip...Not really 100% sure how I feel about it, as I know it is the sensible thing to do but I am still fairly young (i think?) and I doon't think I am going to suddenly be less maternal if I CAN'T have any more...will it make me resentful of him?? As for sex of baby...dh family is very male orientated, no girls for generations back on the males side at all.....just very strong male genes, so not much chance of it being a girl, good job I am not too bothered.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • Mel - we do parent facing mostly. Although sometimes hubby likes to let Benjamin see where he is going :D

In the summer it is good to be able to do parent facing or away facing depending on the sun!! I am thinking of the parent facing on the way to the pub and away facing on the way home from the pub that we did with Benjamin in the summer (on those few sunny days we had!!!)

...although I think the Stokke is a bit different to other buggies...you have to take the seat off every time you put it down so you can swap it over in a few seconds.

  • Damn the muli-quote limit. My brain cannot work past 10pm, so I will probably forget half of what I was going to say!
Sami is that a seperate carrycot or just the seat unit made to look like one?? if its just a cocoon in the seat unit you must be able to take it out and have the pushchair facing you IYSWIM. sorry if thats not very clear:p

Sounds like my My3, where the pushchair and the pram are the same seat unit, you just change the shape with the straps.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with MIL today. She told Henry he could use his Child Trust Fund to buy a fast car , I told her he could use it to pay his university fees. We clearly have very different aspirations :o.

Ooh, those of you who work in HR or related fields - I emailed my boss on 6th Jan asking to change my hours from 22.5 over 5 days to 20 over 4 days. I asked if she could get back to me as soon as she could as my childminder can offer the extra day to someone else if my request is granted. She emailed me back saying to leave it with her. What do you think is an ok amount of time before I ask her about the progress of it? I'm due back on 12th April. Also, my boss isn;t known for her speed in replying to requests. If we ever book annual leave, she very rarely gets back to us to confrim it - we just take the holiday if we haven't heard from her!

I'd say two weeks is reasonable, so a phonecall on Monday would be perfectly acceptable.

SM- same as everyone else, I use eBay to rid myself of impulse purchases, clothes that will never fit post-baby, cosmetics I got free with other purchases, unwanted pressies:o etc. It's not mega bucks but I often use my 'profits' to fund other eBay purchases.

Mel- Henry loved Calpol when he had it post-jabs on Tuesday. He just took it off the spoon then sat open mouthed waiting for more, as if it was the new milk. He is 9 weeks, and I have a feeling he will like food when the time comes! Glad to hear Kai is feeling chirpier.

Lol, thanks 3 but Hubby just said he'll pop the poundshop for me... ;)

I'd rather not be at the moment, the time isn't right for a variety of reasons... But it wouldn't be the end of the world either... Amusing that my brother and sister (and a step sister) are expecting at the minute... My older brother won't ever father a baby... Unless there's a breakthrough in medical science...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I have the Britax Vigour, swaps from one way to the other easily and you remove the seat to fold.
Too many children, too little time!!!
