Just a quick question - have any of your babies had the swine flu vaccine? got letter today for LO but altho hubby had the vaccine before christmas I decided not to have it as I thought not enough research had gone into it.... now not sure what to do as I would blame myself if she caught swine flu.

Rhys has. Had it last week and didn't bother him one bit :) His doctors thought he should (they've all had it) and I agreed. He's only little and with his problems might not cope well with the symptoms or the treatment so if I can lessen the chances of him getting it, or getting a less hit from it, I will (and did).

I've not had it - not looked into whether I can (are they doing anyone and everyone yet or is it still in categories? *confused*); more bothered about those in need getting it first than me taking up a vaccine when someone else might need it. Wouldn't have any problems with having it if it was offered to me though :)

Caz - My boiler started leaking, and the man from downstairs came up, OH opened the door, and he just walked in shouting out "YOUR FLOODING MY KITCHEN" started demanding torches and everything to find the leak, even checked my bathroom, err why if it's in your kitchen you turd! Anyways he was back up later demanding my insurance details because apparently he will need to pay for someone to come in and redecorate his whole kitchen and paint ALL the ceiling because (1 bit of paper got wet, which he ripped off himself) and a tiny brown mark on the ceiling, WHICH IS INSIDE A CUPBOARD IN THE KITCHEN ANYWAYS!

I have a £200 excess, he can lick my jolly rancher. Councils problem, not mine. Not my boiler!
  • SM - Katie was fine, really brave no tears just an ouch when we were trying to put her coat back on; We all turned it into a positive experience for her as she was praised to the sky for not crying and taken straight to the shop to choose a reward.

BM that cracked me up :rotfl: Not good about the leak though, hope it gets sorted.

SM - when I took Isla for her jabs on Monday a girl of about 4/5 kept running upto me and grabbing at Isla. Her mum barely tried to stop her, just said 'oh she winds her little brother up like that' She was being really rough trying to pull her hands and stroke her head, I was so relieved when we got called in. Her poor little bro must be fed up of it!

Is your baby weight shifting club on the health board? I weighed myself this morning and really need to do something about it :o

Oh yeah, I did shiver a bit when I saw the size of the needle _pale_ I don't usually look at needles when I have them and the ones Rhys has every week are tiny little things.
