evening all...DH is out so up to me to settle Finn. Got one of those go-to-sleep glow teddies from Boots from a friend so going to try that (like always was talking about with the glow worm). He's currently quiet but awake in his basket (unusual) so at least the teddy has him quiet! now if only he'll fall asleep to it too...

tried to do some of the gripe water when he was very fussy earlier, but my dad came in and interfered trying to be helpful with the syringe and never did get the full 5ml into him (was annoyed actually as I wanted to do it my way!) so have no idea if that's had any effect. but his fusiness seemed less tonight anyways so I'm clueless!

anyway, sorry for rambling/hijacking, I just don't have much to contribute to other conversations as by the time I get around to replying, the convo has moved on...

SM - Katie had her piggy jab yesterday, she's just complaining of a sore arm and just being a bit clingy. I've given her a dose of Calpol to help with the discomfort so she can sleep.

She was good as gold, no tears no fuss so she got plenty of hugs and a trip to the shop.

Katie's not slept out anywhere yet! She still likes her 5am cuddles and bf.

We're going to have to give swimming a miss tomorrow as apparently there is a huge protest going on nearby that kicked off when there was a similar one in Birmingham.

Well I'm off to bed now, me mate told me the ex gone away for the weekend again, so should be a nice peaceful weekend for once! yay!

Hi all, been spending pretty much all day trying to catch up, then its moved on 2 pages again lol!!

Well tomorrow we are going to wagamamas for lunch with friend and their 1 year old daughter. i have never been to a waga before but apparently the tables are big long ones so u might be sat next to other people, so i have expressed a bottle ready incase its a bit awkward to feed, although im hoping to bf so my bbs dont get too full!!

what i was going to ask was, the milk is in the fridge now and will be up until we leave in the morning. then i will put it into a thermabag. we will prob be out a good 4 hours. if i dont use it, will it be ok for dh to feed toby that evening do u think?

soz for 1 handed typing!!

fatty i dont know about b.milk but formula can be kept for 24 hours x

Well my girl went to bed at half 8 as usual, fed til 9 then fell alseep. I put her in her crib and she woke so I just shushed her and patted her chest. After 20 mins coo-ing, screaming, crying and arm thrashing, she fell asleep :j.

She just woke again so I went up and after literally 2 mins (I timed it) patting and shushing, she went back off:j.

Have I been picking her up far far too soon in trying to keep her quiet so OH can sleep? Or have I just been lucky so far tonight? Time will tell.

Glad everyone seems to be having a quiet night xxx

ETA from memory Fatty, the milk will be fine - sure someone else will confirm either way....
