According to the social fund, they no longer pay out the CWP.
It was one of the phone calls I made this week, they directed me back to IS!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

And my Income Support say they have no idea who has been paid, and more importantly, who hasn't, until they are sent the magic list towards the end of January. IS don't even seem to know when the office is located that the payments are being sent from.
Sigh!

Sue, Munchie I think we should approach the DWP and offer our services
we could operate the CWP from our house's.
Although I do feel sorry for the JCP staff I don't know how many times the criteria for CWP has been stuck up and people still post "I'm entitled where's my money" only to find out that they haven't read the criteria properly  Imagine how many phone calls everyday the JCP must get like this.*SIGH*0 -
Lol DX2...I'm still getting the confidence to reply to people when it comes to working out if they are eligable or not, I'm so scared of giving out the wrong advice.
Munchie - It's so frustrating isn't it? I've been told much the same thing. I need the heat now, not at the end of Jan, especially with the gas monster needing feeding at regular intervals. I did have a surplus but it has been so cold and the boys being at home too due to school closures (and of course them being disabled) has meant that it has had to go on a few extra times.
I'm now sat here with freezing cold hands and feet, blanket over my knees while the children are in the warmer room...just can't get warm today. I'm going to have to start seriously juggling the bills next week to keep feeding the monster if this keeps up.We made it! The average temperature where you live is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below over seven consecutive days during the period from 1 November to 31 March. Specified Meteorological Office weather stations are used to obtain this information.*SIGH*0 -

If you are on a low income and faced with costs that are difficult to pay for out of your normal income, the Social Fund may be able to help.
The Social Fund can give a payment, a grant or a loan to help with things like:- items for the house
- clothes and footwear
- travel
- urgent costs to keep you and your family safe
- items for a new baby
- a funeral
- heating costs in very cold weather, and
- heating costs during the winter to people aged 60 or over.

Well the plot thickens as the social fund said they no longer have anything to do with it....mind you, I have had so many excuses this week, it wouldn't surprise me if this was another passing of the buck excuse. We made it!
