it should be done from within each city instead of one station for miles radius surely :confused:
Well i think something iffy is going on with the postcode checker, before it said 1 payment then when i checked again it says none,i even got my eldest daughter to read it to make sure i was seeing right,i am really annoyed now........Crosby is certainly taking there tem ps from inside in the warm.

You need income support AND a qualifying benefit.

    From DWP site

You may be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each week of very cold weather in your area if you get Pension Credit or income-related Employment and Support Allowance with a support or work related activity component in the main phase. You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:
    • a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
    • a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
    • a disabled child premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child who is under five in the family
yes but dis premiums family prems etc are part of income support not dla you need dla to quallify for sdp but not other premiums.

Not strictly true, since the intoduction of CTC people no longer get the disability premium for any children with IS, it has now gone over to CTC, hence the reason why some of us are having difficulty getting the CWP even though we are eligible.
