Thanks but working tax credit is a top up benefit due to low income and seen as the parrallel to IS for many things and it does say child tax credits / disability can trigger. I shall expect nothing then wont get disappointed.

anyone??? save me an expensive phone call to find out

If your child is now 5, you will not qualify on that basis.

If you receive an award for DLA, then that should give you the necessary premium to receive CWP's, and as DLA would be backdated to when you made your claim, then hopefully you would get backdated cold weather payments.

Until DLA is resolved, then there is no current entitlement from the info provided

:confused::confused::confused: Working tax credits disability premium ain't on the list! Child tax credits are totally different to WTC.

You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:
    • a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
    • a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
    • a disabled child premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child who is under five in the family

My first two CWP's have been paid in together today. There is still another to come but that only appeared on list y/day so wouldn't have expected it yet.

I'm on income-based JSA and receive Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit, does that qualify as a disability premium to trigger the cold weather payment?

ETA: There has been two payments of CWP in my area and according to the directgov website, payment should be automatic but I've received nothing. :^(

According to this post, I should have received CWP.

You will be entitled to a cold weather payment if you get Income Support or income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance for at least one day during the period of cold weather and:
    • you get an extra amount for disability or for being over 60 and you don't live in a care home.
