At top of document "NB. Only postcodes receiving Cold Weather payment have been listed"

Yes I saw that, hence me asking if things have changed this year.

It used to be that it triggered at the weather station which meant all postcodes covered by that weather station got a payment. Looking at that list it is showing just some postcodes from the weather station I come under but not all.

Aah.. sorry.. I see your logic now - good question
  • NB. Only postcodes receiving Cold Weather payment have been listed. I took that as meaning only the postcodes that have met the criteria and been triggered are shown cos the weather station I am covered by has listed all the codes it covers, but it don't make sense if some are missing from your areas :/
  • the list doesnt make sense to me RM4 is listed but RM3 isnt, they are both romford postcodes RM4 is 10 mins from me so the weather cant be different.

Its tough on us cos we put £35 on our gas meter this week instead of the usual £15 so I am not sure how to carry on heating the place during xmas

Good old British gas were not too sympathetic either, their answer you have to budget for it!! Unemployed for 2 years so how can I budget for it

    I will be going to Ebico in 4 - 6 weeks :D

RM3 and RM4 come under different weather stations.

I have just realised that they have changed what postcodes come under which weather stations since last year so double check which one you come under!!!

Top up An extra £1 a week for a year would cover it.

  • I'm confused, I know i'm eligible for a payment, but has HX6 covered by Bingley Weather Station been triggered, please?
    Oh what's the bloody point...?
  • Am I right in thinking that as I am on contribution based ESA i won't get any thing I get the work related thingy of £89.80 a week? Do people on income related ESA get a payment? Sorry to be a bit thick, am new to benefits and just get confused when i go on DWP website. Really, really cold, have heating on a lot and worried about the bill even tho I pay monthly/
  • no because some weeks I dont even have £15 available

What will help me budget is changing to Ebico who are 60% cheaper than British gas

Also I am getting my boiler serviced as £72 in 21days seems excessive to me as I only heat the flat during the day if I am in & heat the water when we need it.

We want a credit meter but cant get one unless we stump up £300 deposit
