I thought JC process cold winter payments?

    E2A:
    How to apply

You don't need to apply; you'll get a Cold Weather Payment automatically as long as you qualify.
Tell your pension centre or Jobcentre Plus if you think you should have received a Cold Weather Payment but you have not had one.

JCP do not process any payments or benefits, we are a sign posting service. We just issue numbers or envelopes for correspondance.

Cold weather payments are usually administered by the social fund department which is technically not a part of the jcp - they are all under the banner of dwp

Maybe you need to inform your employers that the information that is on the direct.gov website is incorrect then

  • just checked the met office for gravesend (not sure why we are under gravesend live nowhere near it) but gravesend was below 0 from midnight til 9AM so does that count as wednesday being below 0 if so that must be 7 days in a row as we have had snow since last Wednesday. seems a little unfair that the post code next to me has already been given a payment but there you go. I assume records will be updated tomorrow!

Can I just make everyone aware that post 1 (Sammyjammy) and post 7 (woodbine) contain important info regarding payments.

The link in 7 (woodbine) doesn't provide up to date information
