Just checked Bank online and another CWP of £25 has gone in this morning so just 1 more to be paid now.

Hello everyone, it's my first time posting on here, but here goes!!!

I receive incapacity (long term), DLA (low care, high mobility) and Industrial Accident benefit. My Partner receives Child tax credit (4 children, as 5th is 18 now), DLA (lower care) and child benefit (or family allowance or what ever they call it now).

Our children are aged 15,13,9 and 2.

Would we be entitled to this CWP, as I am not sure and we have just received our gas (£179) and electric (£289) for the quarter. These seem really high, as they are not even for over the winter (cold) months. So as you can see they CWP payments would come in very handy LOL.

My second of 3 payments went in this morning. For me they seem to be going in on a Wednesday which is also my normal pay day :T

Hi Ian, unfortunately these are not qualifying benefits, as Incapacity Benefit is not a means tested benefit.
To be entitled, you would need to firstly be in receipt of either Pension Credit, Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase.

I received first payment today after approx 2 weeks after the trigger. There was another trigger on 8th Jan so don't know how long that payment will take.

Same here Julio.....except mine is 3 payments.

Mind you, with my heating not working at the moment and the scary gas monster not needing to be fed as a consequence, my immediate need for the money is not as desperate.

Dread to think what my electric bill will be though!
