Kay despite what your seller says he can't cancel a sale, so you do both remain eligible to leave feedback. Just keep an eye on the feedback in case he (unlikely I know) leaves it late and hopes you don't notice.

Still, at least he's not going to chase you for payment, so a good result.

Well, it worked - the seller has cancelled my bid and neither of us gets negged! I notice fleabay never bothered to get involved, despite me reporting the seller twice for flouting ebay policy on P&P, so it seems that they're not at all bothered. The seller is now trying to flog his necklaces for 10p - oh, plus the P&P of course!

Many thanks to everyone for their input, and hopefully, a couple of us will meet up at the Discworld convention as a result of this!

Now who is the biggest scum bag?

    a) He who asks for P&P to avoid e Bay fees

    b) She who bids, then withdraws, seller kindly cancels her bid without registering a no payment, but she complains to e Bay TWICE :EasterBun

If the item is not in the UK then they have violated ebay policy by misleading item location and therefore the auction is void so check where the item is being posted from.

I think she made the quite justified complaints before the seller agreed not to proceed.

And please don't suggest that other board members may be scumbags.

Do not have a pop at me. I was simply parraphrasing an earlier comment. and who elected you big chief ?

In my opinion, she ought to have given the seller a chance and told seller she had made complaint - twice

Seems something is not right here Kay said she was offered second chance, but if you check you will note Kay-UK is the winning bidder

That's no excuse for implying a fellow member may be a scumbag.

And you are fully entitled to that opinion. It doesn't mean you can be rude about other posters, though.
and who elected you big chief ?
This site is not a democracy, so elections don't come into it.

All I was doing was politely asking you not to be rude to other members.

No need to get your panties in a bunch over it.

I really do not take it so serious as you seem to - I have noted you having a pop at several others.

As I said I am not too sure what is going on here, seems we were not given the correct story? It appears Kay-UK was the winning bidder and is simply backing out as she has changed her mind. Puts a slightly different context on her subsequent actions, IMHO

I'm not sure what you mean by this? If a buyer accepts a second chance offer then of course they are shown as the winner and that is exactly what shows in this case.

If you look here you will see all the people that won or took up SCO on these pearls:
