    Hi all

    Thanks Mum2One for another thread..

Whilst reflecting on what went wrong/right this year I must remember that IT COULD SNOW just before Christmas and get some food shopping done weeks beforehand!!!

Also I got hideously stressed by every little thing. So one of the children deciding to make a collage as a present the night before (on the dining table that I wanted to lay in advance) sent me to a hyper stressed level LOL

Then I'd bought a pudding that I believed had to be cooked for about 15 mins so planned to do that after I dished the dinner up. No - it had to be cooked for 2 hours and I didn't have enough pans. So my veg ended up being cooked too late and I had to juggle the stuff in oven around for ages. I was going to give ex the pudding to cook in his microwave as I don't have one, but the previous day we had a mix up and he left the pudding behind LOL

So for the rest of you - what would you do differently next year?

I would love to join....came across the 2009 thread in the middle of Dec and vowed to myself that I woul (try )to join early and keep up.
I went into the attic just before Christmas and found lots of wrapping paper and Christmas cards so shouldn't need to buy any next year...will also re-use the gift bags we have acquired this year....As soon as DD goes back to school, I wil tidy and organise them so I know whee to find them next year.....Really looking foreward to being organised,

    Thanks xx

So for the rest of you - what would you do differently next year?

The main thing for me is to get everything done SOONER!
I used to think starting in Oct was organised- but I was wrong LOL

I want to get as many bday pressies in the sales to put aside as I can, so then I can focus on saving and money making for Christmas right through the year.

I am going to do hampers agian for parents/sister/BIL/and BIL parents
want to decide on theme asap so I can look for bits throughout the year to add to them.

I want to have ALL 6 DC pressies done by end of Nov, so that I can spend more time ENJOYING things with DC in Dec, and less time stressing!

I am also another one who is going to try really hard not to let little stuff stres me out:o. I will tellmyself daily that every thing doesnt have to be perfect!;)

We'll see how farI get with that lot anyway!:rotfl:

  • I am in please.

Agree with the snowing problem. Glad we had bought most of our food early but there were some things that would have been far easier to have bought the week before.

Mumtoone- you do a fantastic job with this thread-Thank you.
