Well, we've all had a great day. I don't know if I mentioned this but I only found the Christmas thread less than a month ago. I made some little gifts (pots of gold, snowman soup and the flannel cakes/muffins) they were so well received - anyone would have thought I'd spent a million pounds on them!!! So homemade/thoughtful gifts on a budget is definately they way to go next year!!! I have already started buying little bits and peices in the sale and bought some wicker boxes(for hampers) from tesco's £2.00 each.

I can't believe it - I'm so organised already!!! I'm off to hit the sales tomorrow, to see what other finds I can bring back.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

    Morning everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday. We did, was a bit manic at times with all the comings and goings but it all went really well (we had everyone for xmas lunch). Got more family coming today them we're off to my mums for boxing day party.
Hope you all got lots of nice gifts.
My mum bought me a money organiser (couldnt have come at a better time can crack on with my first santa task now:D), a 5yr xmas organiser and a friends and family organiser with space for cards for each month. She said she was sick of me writting lists and loosing them:rotfl:. So i have no reason NOT to be organised now:rolleyes:
Just done a quick shop on lakeland to get a few bits in for next xmas, plus i managed to get 3 presents for b'days etc too, spent £25 inc del (couldnt find a code for free del:o), but i'm pleased with what i ordered. Tried boots last night but site kept crashing gathered it was the rest of the mse lot trying to bag a few bargains:rotfl:, gonna pop to my local store tomoro coz i only want to get a couple of bits n bobs out of their sale anyhoo.
Have a fab boxing day everyone and catch up soon x

  • Just popped on to say we had a great day yesterday - lovely and relaxing and fun! Can't believe it's over for another year!

Kids got loads of lovely presents but the Wii was the big one - a real success.

And my lovely OH (who I have maligned to others for doing nothing at Xmas - not that I really mind because don't us girls just love to be in charge of the organisation!) gave me and my eldest DD a guitar each - something I have wanted for a long time. Very thoughtful! Must go an book some lessons now.

Have a great Boxing Day everyone.

    Love

  • Hope everyone had a good day yesterday- I definatly need to be much more organised for next year, my time is really limited so my plan is to be ready by the time I go to Florida in August, although I could always buy some pressies out there! depending on the exchange. If I am organised like this then I will have time to concentrate on my boys birthdays in Nov and Dec. OOhh just remembered that I have already got 2 pressies for nephews bought them this year but they were too young for them so ready and waiting. YAY :j
