I went to Homebase (just a wander around) and found some tree decorations reduced to 10p (some can even be used as embellishments on christmas cards). It was 10% day so got 8 for 72p. Bargain.

That's all though - I'm saving up for Boots.

I have just found a box which is probably the size of a party birthday cake its red with a polar bear on with snow flakes its a lovely little gift box. i remember now i got it when it was reduced from 4 pounds to 87p in dec lol.

What can i use it for? A mini sweet thing or some thing creative?? any ideas??

    Hi,

How does paypal get money from you... Is it from your bank direct or from a debit card? If a debit card make sure that your details are upto date on paypal (have you had a new card recently?)

What has basically happened is paypal has paid the first person so you have received the items and they have received the payment. but the bank has either rejected the card transaction or the DD (either could be out of date, or you may have cancelled the paypal DD accidently, I did this once, took ages to get it set up again waiting for then to deposit some money into my account then verifying the amount etc..) so paypal hasn't got the money from you hence your paypal account being a negative amount - this amount should equal what you paid for the items you received.

The person you paid who got the email saying the transaction was cancelled.. check to see if ebay still has it recorded as paid. I assume you paid this after the one where you received the items... and paypal has cancelled the payment as it cannot recover the funds from your bank.

    hope that helps x

A transfer will go through, just may take a few days... seems that paypal is taking money off your debit card but it can't because you've had a new card.. most likey cause is that the start/expiry date on your card will have changed, but also check your issue number if you have one as this could be the problem if your card is a replacement for a lost or stolen one. Just go into your paypal account and update your card details.

The person you have purchased the homemade stuff from who's not an ebay seller, is that the one that has received the email from paypal saying you have cancelled the transaction? If it is just double check your paypal account to see if it has indeed been cancelled. If it has then just wait for your money to go in and then order the stuff again.

If that's the only reference to her then she hasn't received any money.. she may well have received a payment notification but the money wasn't released to her as paypal couldn't take it from your card.

Forgot to mention that the security code on the back of the card will have changed too x

I hope you feel better soon Mary, you take care, won't you?

Just had and email off BHS, they cancelled my order as something went wrong when I place it (their end not mine) and would I like to place it again. It was sale stuff so it's all gone now.

I'd get back to them and explain as it wasn't your fault, you have missed out on the items as they were sale items, that you feel let down, and maybe as a goodwill gesture, offer you some extra discount, or try and track any of the missing goods.

Long shot, but worth a try.

Had similar with Halfcost, and they gave me free postage off the order they had boobed on, got about a 1/4 of it, and free postage of the next order. x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
