I got some great bargains instore yesterday, BHS i got some chrismassy pot pourri £1.50 down from £8.00, and 3 sets of their luxury cards 50p each down from £5.00. M&S I managed to get 3x let it snow glimmering body cream for my gift bags for the girls in the family for Christmas at 25p each down from £6.00, a lovely kangaroo soft toy £1.00 down from £6.00 to add to the presents I bought for my friend who is due any day now, and a lovely giant 'Christmas' word ornament £1.00 down from £15.00. I'm fairly happy with my haul for now, certainly saved money on the cards.

I think I will be getting a few bits from the Boots sale for my brother and mum for Christmas, and see what else I can scout down during the year.

Have I missed a new challenge on this board, someone mentioned something about a £50.00 challenge I believe? Can anyone clarify?

The challenge is from the sister thread, (we work together), its either make £50.00 on ebay or £20.00 on dooyoo reviews - for the month of Jan.

Hi everyone

We braved the weather this morning and made it into town. Didnt get much, some more wrapping paper and gift bows and ribbons reduced to 25p in Wilkinsons. Bought myself a nice warm jumper too in the charity shop.

We have had more snow this afternoon and its freezing indoors so I have my electric throw plugged in keeping me nice and warm.

If anyone saw the link I put the other day to the handbags (purses as they call them in the US) made from candy wrappers, I have been having a go at them using magazine pages covered with selotape and have managed to do enough of the "rounds" to make the 6 bags I want to make for presents for next year. Now I just need to sit and work out how to join them together, it tells you on the site so will have a try when I get the time. Will just need to buy some zips for the tops if they come out alright. Will post a photo once I have one finished if they are ok.

I am going stir crazy with this weather! Will post pics in a sec of our area and the snow/ice , we are expected to get more at 9pm onwards x

Hello all :j More snow last night...............I felt a bit 'iffy' with upset stomach and in and out of bet, hot and cold............got up then went back to bed again. Only just got up and don't think it'll be long before I go back there.
So, nothing done today at all...............think its back to the duvet...................:rolleyes:

Just had and email off BHS, they cancelled my order as something went wrong when I place it (their end not mine) and would I like to place it again. It was sale stuff so it's all gone now.

Junior-J - that snow woman is great, are those boobies?! We made a snowman with full 'equipment' but it kept falling off :rotfl:
