ahh mum2one what a time u've had I hope u're feeling better. Take it easy, I hope u get spoilt rotten and pampered over this lovely season, infact I know u will, u have a lovely family. Let us know if u need any help with anything on here!?

Things are really organised here for me, I bought all the gift bags today to sort presents into, I thought I'd push the boat out this year as I normally just use supermarket carrier bags ha ha ha very mse of me!

I still have to take photos of the kids so I can do my christmas cards, and then I should get all my cards wrote and sent - eeh I forgot about cards up until now - ooh panic, better find the bought ones

Can't wait for christmas - CAN wait for snow, I would like to be snowed in once school has finished and I don't have to do the 20minute drive 4 times a day. :-) Right off to find my cards and my dd's class list so she can start writing hers (all 33 of them that she wants to write herself!!!!!!)

Oh my word mum2one what a nightmare, glad you went to a+e and didn't pass it off as asthma. I can sympathise with you, anaphalytic reactions are soo scary! Hope your feeling better now and being looked after, take care of yourself and what your eating, maybe not eat at asda again.
It took me just over a year to find out what I was allergic to and get all the tests done, blood tests, skin pricks etc. My list at present is raw fruit and veg except strawberries (I love these) so small luxuries! Brazil nuts, latex, anything sticky(plasters, tapes etc), penicillin, aspirin, dust and pollen. Hopefully this won't get any longer! It can be really scary when reactions happen but as long as you have a plan in place everyone knows whats happening. At present I don't have an epipen as have only reacted as far as to have tongue and lips swell and breathing getting tricky. If I have one more reaction will then be given epi pen, at present i have to, take two piriton and go straight to a+e, where I will be seen straight away.

I had day to myself today so got my hair done and made most of sock monkey whilst waiting for colour to take. I then bought myself two new pairs of jeans for £25 from dp, I had £20 voucher from doing surveys i put towards so really happy with this.

Off to make another christmas card now, then off to bed, night all.

    Xmas Saver!
Firstly can I say a massive, massive thank you to everyone, I guess it just sunk on this morning. Got steriods from hospital, but unfortunately I was sick as a dog.... but got gp appointment 2mor (asked for fav gp - he's brilliant and he's more than happy to get referrals etc), so ask him to swop the steriods and see where we go.

Asda have been really good, spoke to the cafe manager this morning, apparently the Chicken tikka has over 60 ingredients in it... but he's going to photocopy them and send them to me, and he's also sending a gift voucher as an apology for the food. So bless he's been really fair.

We had bed swops again last night, DD decided she wanted to sleep with me, bless her, she woke me about 4 times to check I was ok, she was an absolute star. Apparently she was upset at school 2day, she said it was because they were moving class rooms and she was worried about getting lost. Felt awful it was parents evening 2ngt, I couldn't go, but dad went, good news Miss Hoodie is doing brilliantly, apparently by xmas she'll have a reading age of 12, (shes only 8), maths shes a bit weak on subtracting, but they do it different to us, and after 100 she gets a bit lost, but shes still above average. She's a pleasure to teach. Dad mentioned about the sunday tummy ache, apparently theres a set of 6 kids involved in the bullying saga, but Miss Hoodie not one of them, she thinks its because her 2 best friends are being bullied, she's taken it to heart. She asked if everything was ok at home, with the tears incident, and dad explained, he said it really shook him up, he admitted he was on auto pilot and really didn't have time to think.

    Catching up on the thread.

Rufus - Love your blog, had a quick peep, and signed up to follow you.

fedupandskint - What a bargain those baskets

Angela - Hope you get the stuffing sorted, its one of those things that people like differently, but sounds cooked, and as long as tastes ok your be fine.

cdsmiller - thank you again, love those sound of the good deed charts, bet their be 2 perfect angels

Mary - I love the sound of the brownie mix, is it an all in one mix - could I be cheeky when you get 5 mins and ask for the recipie

Legend Mum - Wow love the bargains from M+S, before the incident, got the bubblebath set for £2.50, instead of £5. The lady who use to be the TA, now comes in once a week to read with them, and Miss Hoodie wanted a nice present, and I treated myself to the eyeshadow and lipgloss set, £2.50 special. Got to be cheeky, do you know where I can get the 15% code from, they've got some a lovely Tatty Ted toiletty bag, and Miss Kitty one (me and Miss Hoodie), and a few other bits looked nice.

Mcjordi - Can only back up what has been said, re hobby etc

Junior J - you got some bargains 2day, hope goddaughter gets better soon. You just reminded me of when Miss Hoodie was small, it was like a military planned operation going shopping.

Erm - Hi, your really organised, hope all goes ok with the cooking and the truffles. Good luck with work deadlines

Elysia - Good luck with the Avon order.

RealToothfairy - glad pre-op went ok, tcertainly sounds like they want you in before Xmas, the neighbour facing us he's having something done to his knee, he's got his pre-op this week, and they've given him a date of 6th Dec.

Scattymum - thank u, esp reminding me about the cards for the class, Miss Hoodie got her cards ready, just remembering the names

Piglet - Sorry to hear about your allergies, but glad they have got it under control, but massive thank you for the info, if they go further at least know what to expect.

    Massive thank you to everyone.

Back to business, Santas Challenge will be on early evening - advance warning as the challenge comes out on the 24th, figured Dec 24th - were be all organised, and getting sorted with the last minute things, so Nov's challenge will be a double one... xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Crikey Mum2one, I'm so glad you are okay! Can I give a little advice (I'm sure you've already been told, but twice is better than none!). When you get your epipen you will be trained in how and when to use it. You will also need to train your parents and other people who are with you a lot, so they can use it on you in case you can't.
A little boy in my class has very severe anaphylactic allergies so all the staff had to be trained in how to use the epipen, it's very easy. The best thing I was told is that you can't do any harm by using it when you shouldn't. So if you suspect you might be going into anaphylactic shock but aren't sure, use the epipen in case. It's better than leaving it too late. If you do need to use the epipen, someone will then need to call an ambulance, even if you feel fine after.

Thanks for the reminders about school christmas cards. I need to get DS's cards for his nursery friends. I also need to print off a zillion class lists for every child in my class. I do about 60 - one each and then a spare for when they lose the first one!

My 2 DDs have both started writing their cards. The eldest at 11 has done hers from a list she wrote up. The youngest is still ploughing thru her class lists, 1. because she has more to write and 2. because she keeps stopping to play teacher and taking the register, or putting the cards she has written in alphabetical order.

Can't complain its not December yet and she won't give em out till then. lol.

Thing is they have both nicked the cards I had got for me (I haven't gotten round to learning how to make fab cards myself yet). So I have to buy some more.

Have a go at all of them and sometimes if they dont work now the system may store them for future use so next time you add something it takes more off! A nice unexpected surprise!
    Hope your feeling better!

    Morning all

My buttons came yesterday and I have finished my first shirt, quite pleased with the result. Now need to knuckly down and get on with the other three. I have put a photo on my blog (lol still sounds posh!) if anyone wants to see my attempt. Hope he likes it.

Im off up the town in a bit with eldest daughter, need to get some more interfacing for the shirts. Then we are going to ExMil's for lunch. Was going to see if I could get youngest daughter a few bits while in town but she tells me this morning she needs new school shoes after school tonight so the extra cash I had will have to go on them. Catch you all later, Rufus xx

Edit to add, had a £15 Amazon voucher from Toluna so have ordered three more dvds for OH. Feel a bit better now about his presents, will just get some aftershave next month and the other shirts and that will do.
