Hiya girls (and guy)
Today was fun at work I was in charge of organizing children in need. I asked all children to dress up as their favorite characters or wear bright clothes which most of them done and gave anything from 5p to a pound each then i done guess the bears name a pound a go and guess where pudseys balloon will land and let the kids make cakes and sell them for 20p each so the kids had fun and we raised more oh , we also had a teddy bears picnic which the kids loved! xNanMias - cyber granddaughter!

Received an email from M+S saying their christmas hampers were out so I had a little nosy - can you believe they have one for £999.99! then another for £500
I'm pretty sure I could put most of the £500 one together for much much less £100 maybe or even less than this!
I was originally having a look for some ideas - then got distracted by what was in these to justify the cost
Thanks piglet for the reminder about Nigella's biscotti - I'm adding this to my list of things to do - sorry to hear you're not well again - just like me. I'm after the great british book of baking for christmas fedupandskint I can't endorse it as I haven't used it but I watched the tv series it is based on and that was fab. I had a flick through in asda and it looked good - a good thick book.
failing that I recommend the hummingbird bakery book - it's fab, it is on sale at the book people for 4.99 at the moment, i think it's 8.99 on amazon!!0 -
Thanks scatty!

hi, been trying to catch up with all the thread but think head is about to explode and still 10 pages left to read- you are all so busy. Think I will have to admit defeat and start from here onwards. Big hugs to all those that need them.
DD is nearly 3 weeks old now, and I am starting to feel more human (or getting used to feeling exhausted) and realising how close christmas is now:eek: I must crack on, thought I was pretty organised but still so much to do......(Family of 5: 2 adults & 3 children aged 7yrs, 4yrs, and 18months)0 -
Can't believe how organised everyone is.
Did quick Mr M visit, 3 for 1 pringles, their candy cones were bogof, so brought them, and more Brandy Sauce!!
Had 2 parcels from Vistaprint this morning, all the freebies - thou would say if anyone gets the baseball cap (usually on the specials link at the top of the page), the picture looks blurry on it, got 3, one for me, dad and Miss Hoodie. Then t-shirts - dad and Miss Hoodie
Mugs - Got one with the wrap around photos - only did 2photos looks brilliant, then 3 more just 1 pic for Miss Hoodie, Mum and Dad.
Picture Mug - Teacher that does the choir, shes getting married 27th Dec, got a mug with her married name, lovely flower print,
Pen - for the same teacher - Married name and date of wedding
Notecards - folded design, used a pic of Springer Spaniel Miss Hoodie had downloaded, they look beautiful
Flat postcard - notecards - thou my fault, ticked the ok box ticked black and white for the box, (free) expecting it to be a black line, but it was the same pic as front - so think going to have to get some blank notelets and put the pic on,
Magnets - 10 of them they've got calenders of 2011 on
Box of calenders - same size as business cards -
10 xmas cards - Miss Hoodie from last yr with her snowman.
Takes ages to put the orders theou as I make sure everything is free, so ends up on about 3 orders - todays parcel (was over 2 orders), all together cost £10. postage, didn't pay for anything so very plzed with that.
Just waiting to do the Nov's topcashback offer, and then got 3 emails with nearly everything free, so thats nexts weeks jobs.
We've got fun at school, think a girl in Miss hoodies class has started bullying her, this girl was bullying about 3 girls last yr, and this yr she's been bullying Miss Hoodies best friend, so playtime Miss Hoodie been keeping an eye on her friend. Last week we've had tears, I don't want to go to school, I've got tummy ache, I can't sleep, even had an accident last night...... which is unlike her. We've got parents evening on Wed, so ask then. I've asked her direct is she being bullyed but she said no and threw a wobbly, so to me - I think yes. Really annoyed, they have to leave their PE kit, and forest school (wellys, wet jck, spare clothes), when we went to bring them home tonight they've gone missing off her clothes peg........ if it was a jumper or a shirt, then yes after PE etc, you could understand stuff going around, but not 2 bags of clothes, they have their own pegs and the bags were under her jackets.
Don't want to have to pull the "I'm a school govener" to get things done. Hopefully she'll open up 2mor, we're making some cookies, there packet mix, but she likes baking, and shes going to helpme with snowman soup, so may get somewhere. Anyone has any suggestions, ideas etc, plz fire away. I feel bit piggy in the middle, don't want to push her into saying anything, but then I don't want her to think don't care.
Finishing on a positive note my dsi xl got delievered safe and sound from Sainsburys, so thats my xmas prezzie off mum and dad sorted, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Sorry to hear of Miss Hoodie's problems but there is a good website that might give you some ideas of how to go about dealing with this and talking it thru with her. it is http://www.bullying.co.uk/
My daughter is getting a bit of grief at school too. She started senior school in September and having been there 2 months is starting to expand her circle of friends, ditching and leaving behind some that I do not particularly like - this for me is a good thing - but because they are now not flavour of the month the girl and boys that my DD is no longer hangin out with are causing her problems to the lengths she was getting kicked in the back by 2 of the boys whilst leaving school yesterday.
I am not prepared to stand for this. She has told the Behaviour Manager at the school, so he is involved, but I shall certainly be getting involved Monday morning. But if things do not get sorted by school I shall take matters further we live in a small town and no doubt be able to find their address and make a visit to see their parents!
Trouble is my DD is 11 now and also needs to learn to stand up for herself cos having Mummy sort this out won't help her in the long run at school. It feels like I am kinda stuck between a rock and hard place!Donna

Morning everyone - hope you all enjoy your Saturday
I've finally got round to writing down the measurements for flavoured coffee to make a few bags for mum who enjoys a cup in the mornings
I've added this to my shopping list alongside my biscotti ingredients to make up the coffee hamper
Cafetiere, flavoured coffee and biscotti and bag of ground coffee, 2 books and bookmark
My amazon order arrived today with mum's book which I decided to buy after I bought her the 2nd one in a series by mistake, thought I'd better buy her the first one too!
Can't wait for this assignment to be in then can crack on a bit more with the christmas preps - have lost count really of what I need to dofinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
