:eek:Hello all,
I made my snowman soup yesterday and they are looking great. :T Wrapped a few more pressies and couple more hampers. Have decided to make some Rudy and Trudys too.
I am in a bit of a panic and feeling over whelmed. I still have quite a lot to get so really need to get focussed and budget a bit better.
There will also be 11 of us here for Christmas eve and Christmas day and 10 boxing day  Dont even know where to start with that one!
Christmas eve i think will be a takeaway
Christmas day will be the traditional turkey dinner with trimmings and tea a buffet type with cold meats, salads, french sticks, cheeses and crackers, fingr food etc.
Boxing day i am not sure what to cook - any suggestions for 9 of us??0 -
Rack your brains.....
Technically my stall is a jewellery stall, have to say what your selling, but was thinking as got a good supply of mugs (20) was to do snowman soup, but put a piece of jewellery (keyring and a purse clip) inside a little gift bag - so it still covers the jewellery element, but not encaseing on someones crafting.... Do you reckon could get away with it???????
As Rufusdog said as your adding jewellery with the other bits you should get away with it. Good luck X0 -

Your table sounds lovely in white and silver. For the table cloth why not just get a flat white sheet, new one even, not dear from places like primark or wilkinsons. With all your other bits on it no one will notice.
For your gifts why not do a variation on the pots of gold people do on these threads and have pots of silver? You can get the chocolate coins in silver foil and look out for some other cheap sweets wrapped in silver (some of the supermakets own makes in a bag might have silver, not sure but worth a look). You could add a scratch card if you can afford it. If you want to keep it cheap they have videos on Youtube showing you how to make a box out of an a4 piece of paper, you could make boxes for the coins and write their names on the front with a silver pen?
If you have a printer you could buy some of those small choc bars and print out your own wrappers to go round them with a gray coloured print, may be their name on it on just plain white a4 paper and cut them out and mabe decorate with a bit of silver glitter or something? Or even just use a silver pen and cut out some white paper to fit round a choc bar then decorate?
Sure others will be along soon with some more ideas for you, Rufus xx0 -

Hi ya Jammy, have missed you too xxx0 -
How about a bed sheet???? Depending on the size of your table a single or a double! And its up to you how expensive a sheet you want to buy, but if anything is spilt on it you know you can wash it easily.
It may also double up as a tent in the garden for the toddler in the summer!
Flat sheets are great! lolDonna

Well done on the snowman soups etc, dont panic over the presents, just write your self out a list of who to buy for and work out how much you will have to spend on each and stick to the budget. Come and join us on here after Christmas to get an early start for next year.
As for Boxing day, what do you usually have when you go to other peoples? If youre having a turkey for Xmas day buy one big enough so you can carve it all up and have some cold for the next day, may be get a nice gammon joint or something and cook that up and have it cold as well. You could serve them then either with hot veg and potatoes or with salad and trimmings depending on what your guests like.0
