got the last of my family Christmas cards today, managed to get most of them from Card Factory so they weren't too dear. Waiting on my order from direct cosmetics to turn up later this week since it's got a load of birthday presents as well as ones from Christmas. Managed to get a few bits and pieces the last few days, some cute snowman mugs for snowman soup on 2 for £1 in B&M; dora the explorer colouring book £2 (ryman) and colour your own soft toy dog thingy £1.50 (home bargains) for my friends daughter, and cosy PJs for my mum for £4.80 from Peacocks, they were only £6 to begin with but got 20% student discount! Still need to put in some orders online for DVDs etc and get a hot water bottle to go with the cover I got off halfcost, hot chocolate sachets for snowman soup (think they're on offer in Tesco though) and some gold sweets for pots of gold. Oh and I still need to finish off my flannel reindeer as they're currently faceless and anterless!

I know Asda have had the hot choc sachets, 2 pack - 3 of them for £1.00.

    Been organised today

Sorted out Car Insurance - my renewal was £277, when I rang to say I've got cheaper, the bloke we can do cheaper (great).... if you can drop legal cover, protected no claims bonus, and up the excess to £600....... Pigs flying..... But the AA were really nice and got one for £210. There ringing back Wed (get some money) not due to start Dec, get to get sorted.

Done another 3 Vistaprint orders - got baseball caps, tshirts for dd and dad, + mugs

Had a sale leaflet from Studio Cards, and there was a coffee table, reduced down to £44.99, one mum liked in the main catalogue - but it was about £90
so thats her sorted for xmas.

DD's choir teacher is getting married over xmas hols, and I was going to do a gift box or something, but the explanation of the name and coat of arms, was reduced to £3.99 - bargain price.

Did half cost order - free post and packing when you spend over £25 (valid till 20th Nov), - got 1st proper bday prezzie for 2011, Man U jck for £5.99, friends boys bday - hes Man U mad. - Spent £50, got quilt cover, curtains etc, stuff that I knew we needed. Trying to be very good.

Managed to get 3 more raffle prizes for the school xmas fayre, rang to chase the letters I'd sent (put self addressed envelopes in), one of the local attractions the bloke said - we've done this yrs allocation, so me being me, said no prob, I enclosed a self stamped envelope incase anyone couldn't help there was the envelope, after that he said oh i remember - you had the fairy stickers for your address (freebie from Vista Print), and he said as your the only person that has done the envelope I'll send some vouchers.

Had a brilliant night tonight, went to see larkrise to Candleford, we had front row seats, it was absolutely brilliant, one advantage to being on crutches, me and my "companion" get half price seats...

Getting slowly organised ready for the craft fair, done the items a bit differently, put one of each on a white board, and then the others are sealed, so as well as sticky fingers - also stop the risk of light fingers.

Secret Santa - contacting Claire, and were be getting your partner and your have the person by the weekend, so its Argos beware, - the thrify girls are in business!!

Miss Hoodie took in some mince pies and cupcakes in for her teacher.

:eek:Got a dentist appointment - go Thursday evening to get this tooth looked at... (help)

Touch wood upto date with course, so aim to get 3 weeks word done this week and again next, so give me chance to take xmas and new yr from studying.

Wrote 1st set of xmas cards.... (done 10 - 1st set back from Vistaprint).

From next Monday the great plan is empty the shed!!!! and get stuff sorted for xmas - that take a week, then get the home made hampers done, - just got to put cherrries and raspberrys into smaller jars, the coffee mixes into packets.

Think that enough for now!! xx

    Rack your brains.....

Technically my stall is a jewellery stall, have to say what your selling, but was thinking as got a good supply of mugs (20) was to do snowman soup, but put a piece of jewellery (keyring and a purse clip) inside a little gift bag - so it still covers the jewellery element, but not encaseing on someones crafting.... Do you reckon could get away with it???????

I reckon you could if you are putting some jewellery with it mum2one. Worth a try isn't it. Might need it on the label or add an extra label saying what comes with it. Good luck xx

    Morning everyone

Managed to get up in my craft room last night. The fabric came to make OH's shirt, its really nice, its white with a tiny flower on it also white if you know what I mean. Cut out all the pieces and managed to get the pocket sewn on the front and the front and back sewn together. Will do a bit more tonight after hes gone to work again.

Have nearly finished daughters two blouses, just need to do the button holes and get some buttons but havent been up town yet, will grab some when I get up there next.

Wrapped up some dvds for OH which came in the week so that he doesn't come across them when hes doing one of his tidying up jobs. Passed the pay out level on Dooyoo at last so waiting for the points to become redeemable and I can claim my £20 Amazon voucher and get him the other dvds he wants. Have a £6 Love2shop voucher coming soon so will put that towards some aftershave from Wilkinson's then will just concentrate on getting some more fabrics in to do some more shirts.

Edited to add that I have had an Amazon voucher from Toluna this morning so got another dvd on order.
