Esmer and Pinkflop big hugs to you both. I know the feeling too, too well. I was on my own with DD1 until she was 10. I just hope that knowing you're not on your own (so to speak) makes it a little easier - we are all here thinking of each other, through everyone's troubles.
Hiya Fedup = my freezer is stuffed to bursting too. I told OH I wasn't buying anything else for the next couple of weeks (OK maybe four or five) so I have room for Goodies.
Just checking everyone's ok, then need to blitz the house. I have a mountain of Ironing to do too. Then hopefully I can start wrapping if OH can keep DD2 occupied for an hour this afternoon.
Anyone know if there's a free listing weekend coming up on ebay soon? Sorry to be a nuisance.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

I feel overwhelmed on where to start on my making!!! I keep on adding to my list and not doing anything. I sit down at night and I'm Shattered, single mum to one and working nearly full time is so tiring. I want to leave my chocolate makes to closer to the time, but then if I temper the chocolates it will be fine
again with bath bombs, its just getting the time. If I do it when DD is here she wants to get in the middle of it all.
Today, Im going up to mum and dads to decorate the table and room for my cousins 21st and dd wants to make cakes for nursery teddybear picnic on Monday
So I need to get organised and stop buying stuff and actually make it
Thanks for listening.
Hugs hun I know how hard it can be as I am a single mum to 3 although I had to give up work when I couldnt get child care for my son as he has various disabilities, But what I do as cant get much done in the day when DS is awake is I set an hour aside each night that is my crafting time even if you can only do it once or twice a week you will be suprised how much you can get done and you will feel a bit less stressed about it. Take care:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
Thanks guys. I managed to get bathroom gutted this morning, make cupcakes for 21st will take photos and let you all see. I started cutting out box templates for my chocolate makes. Got 6 stockings sewn for DDs advent stocking. I have so much more todo.
Hugs to you all as well. Will pop on pater, going to make some lunch.x

Hi all
Mum2one, how many Christmas puddings are you going to have with 6 packs of Brandy sauce
I can empathise with the single parents on here, being one myself. Also with special needs children, it felt like total chaos when ex left and they were home with me having to do everything imaginable.
However, I've realised that I was more organised back then, compared to now0 -

I have to agree although the last 2 weeks it has been organised chaos in this house!! But I am more organised than I was when ex h was here and i was working full time, The only thing that gets me is all the appointments for paeds and different specialist all seem to come at the same time, this week I have speech therapy physio therapy for 2 of them on different days heart clinic for DD2 and they are coming to fit DS new window:eek: and I need to order DS a new pair of boots so need to get hold of podiatry. See organised chaos!!:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
Hey all, yet again, haven't been around for a while - life takes over eh!
Does anyone have any ideas about postage costs UK to US? The Royal Mail website is either useless or very confusing.. I just need to know if it's going to cost like £10 or £30... and.. if anyone has experience shipping to the US, can you tell me stuff I need to know?? ThanksSealed Pot challenge #508

i swap/sell make up to the us and a few e/s or a lippie (around 0.3-4g) normally comes in at £1.80+, heavier things like a blush compact(1-2g) are around £2.80-£3.50 and i sent an urban decay palette (around 4+g ish) and it came to £5.30. The prices to the us went up in oct by around a £1 so i cry every time i go to the postie.
Last xmas i sent a goodie box full of chocs to the us and it came to well over £10:eek:0 -
Well goodness me you lot can talk! Not done a lot lately! Got reindeer food, snowman soup all done waiting on Christmas scratchcards and pots of gold done! Im sure I have said this already or is it dejavu? Anyway still waiting on DS eye to heal as he has been picking so cant order calendars until I take a photo of him in his reindeer outfit! Started a spreadsheet for next years birthdays just need to go through the cupboard to see what I have got! I actually love popping into a shop and seeing how busy it is grinning to myself that I am pretty much done with Christmas shopping and all the rest of the world seem to be just starting! Hope every1 is well I can sympathise with all you single Mums as me and OH were split for a while when DS was a baby! I think its great that we can all vent on here and we all look out for each other!
