Know the feeling Sugarspun. I will be ok when I can make a start on the shirts but my money is running out quick and means I have to wait until something clears on my daily click sites or surveys before I can do much more.

At least its nice to know its all done. The shops are getting more and more busy even now so we wont have all that to contend with will we.

I am not starting making things for next Christmas until after this one is out of the way. Have been stocking up on fabrics and ideas but would rather leave it until then. Rufus xx
  • Hello everyone, anyone remember me?! It seems like I've not been on for ages and it's been torture wondering what wonderful things you are all dreaming up that I'm missing out on!
The house move went well (ish) and we finally have the internet so I will do my best to catch up with everything that's been going on. My Christmas organising has slipped a bit with all this moving malarky so i will have to get back into it now :)
    Hope you are all well!

True Rufus, I'm still waiting for a babyfree day to do some sewing - the machine is all ready to go but the child makes it impossible to get anything done. I bought a People Tree goody bag and got a jersey top that is utterly hideous and needs to be completely reworked. Fortunately it is only a size 10 if Dawn French is also one, so there's plenty of fabric ;)

I want to try to make the baby a dress as well.

I started wrapping this morning! Thought I would also write my cards this evening.:D

My sister said I'd have nothing left to do in December..... isn't that the idea?! That way I can spend time thinking up Elf Mischief and doing nice things with my DS and having lots of people over! :)

Pinkflop - tell your sister she's just jealous. ;)

Congrats on your new baby TQ16

Welcome to the thread Charlies Mum.

Hiya Nickybo - Glad the move went well.

Suparspun and Rufus - finished Christmas and planning sewing - I'm not jealous (much) :p. I've just realised I haven't a clue what to buy Stepdad. I've bought him some spiced bags to make mulled wine, need to buy a bottle of red wine too, but what else to buy him? Arggh, I don't have a clue. :o

Nine and Six hours for Take That tickets  - I got mine in 6 minutes. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Esmer - sorry you didn't find santa in your stocking/s. ;)

Mary - thankyou for the lovely notecard. You are very welcome. I've ordered more magnet, so you keep the left over, you might need it next year.

Hi Anglea, Mum2one and everyone else.

    Hello all :j

    TQ16 - congratulations :T

Nickybo - good to see you again:T

Charlies Mum -welcome to the thread:T

elysia - sending you a card was the least I could do........you really saved my bacon..........:T

Tinnitus been bad today so not done a lot apart from finish off a notebook on a board that I'd covered, covered a pen with matching paper and attached that to it. I'd used the same paper to do a diary and some peg magnets so now they're all wrapped up with that curly ribbon and in a red voile bag (charity shop find) with some Cranberry hand cream and body cream...........thats one of my mates pressies sorted or might give it to the lady who was so good to my Mum before she died.......(scratches head and thinks ???)

Found Fabric covered book from last year so rooted through my stick on letters to turn it into a Journal for me for next year. Oh and had to completely -re-do a calendar for one of the kitchen organisers I'd done when I knocked my coffee over it  Thank goodness it was just the calendar..............:rotfl:

Keep thinking I'm all done and find other ''stuff'' to do..............oh eck.....somebody kick me and tell me to stop !!!!

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    charliesmum - welcome :D

    elysia - hi:beer:

pinkflop = you spend december , admiring everyone lights, going to see christmas carols and enjoying the whol thing, without the stress...:rotfl:

ddraig - well done on your sales

i`d like to go to disney on ice but no-one here wants to.

I`m planning to goto norfolk next year for a christmas event

Well i did the christmas craft fair today , it was a great sucess, although strangely not one pint of socks was sold, plenty said they`d buy it if there was alchohol in it. I really enjoyed myself, chatting away to people, left OH to sell the things and had lots of compliments.

I have to ask OH did he photograph the stall, I forgot, one thing made me laugh though, I made some christmas kisses and a youngish lady came up to purchase them and she said, could i have some kisses please and OH was pucked up:eek:, I cant take him anywhere....:rotfl::rotfl:

hi to everyone not mentioned, i do try to keep up, and then forget who says what
