Mum2one, I burst out laughing when I read this and hoping there weren't any men around -
"I had mine out at dinnertime, my friend treated me to lunch" :rotfl:
Oh heck, think better rephrase it..... could of been interesting xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
mum2one - What you driving LOL!!! I thought my quotes were bad. I got insured last year for 227.00 and this year they are all near on 400.00 I thought with driving longer and no accidents or points it would get cheaper!!! guess not lol
Have a good Friday everyone. Im off out in this terrible weather!Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -
Thank you everyone for all your congratulations! I still can't believe it, am waiting for the special delivery letter to be delivered today showing the itinerary and hopefully containing the train tickets!!!! Have got so much to do - ironing, packing, cleaning, I will be shattered! The kids are so excited, my DS asked if it was a long way to London and I basically told him that he would have done his homework and written all his Christmas cards by the time we get there lol...
Definitely plan on treating ourselves!
I bought DS the Christmas Carol from Play.com (Quidco) so works out slightly less than the £12.99. He has watched it 3 times already, bought it for him for getting 42-48 in his spellings bless him! Got parents Christmas present yesterday, a digital photo frame just need the SD card now and I can put lots of kids pics on it for them, think they will be well chuffed. Also my nana's birthday present arrived - she is 90 next week and I got her a gorgeous cushion off ebay with her birthday embroidered onto it and our names on the back - it is beautiful some people are so clever!
Well, busy day ahead so will catch up with everyone after the weekend! Happy days xxMotto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j

2015 Wins: Nothing yet, but keeping trying :T0 -
Sounds like you will have a hectic time of it Foxy but will be such fun, really pleased for you xx
I ordered some fabric last night to make a shirt for OH. Found a site that had some really cheap polyester cotton, was only about £1.45 a metre so got enough to make one shirt and some interfacing that will hopefully be enough for may be 3 or more? If the first one comes out ok I can order some more fabric from them.
Just been up and cut out two more blouses for my daughter, one white one for school and a cream one as she has an interview coming up with the college, thought it might look smart for it. Will need to get some buttons for them both. She has been wearing the other one I made every day nearly lol, still havent told her I made it though. She commented the other day that she didnt realise she had two of the short sleeved ones but I just changed the subject.
Showed her the glass jars full of sweets last night, I have wrapped them in cello with bows and curly ribbon and she liked them, wants them to give to her girl friends for Xmas so that was a success. Will save me having to give her money to buy them something instead.
Catch you all later, Rufus xx0 -

Nearly fell off my chair till I re-read your post.............lol:rotfl:

Both those will do for our lad -also doing him a retro sweet box but need him out of the way for that so he doesn't follow me to the sweet shop...............lol:rotfl:
Finished off my peg magnet tea towel holders.........had to re-do one as it fell off the rubber tile sample I'd stuck it on........

Hi everyone - sorry I wasn't around yesterday, I was hiding on Grabbit.
LOL I did well though, I managed to get some seeds and a plant should have cost £17 for £6 odd. I also bought something else but can't remember what now!!!
The best bit is I was there when someone posted that they'd released more Take That tickets so I got some - no hassle at all. It was brilliant!
Have to travel to Manchester so need to book hotel for the night, can anyone recommend a good - cheap one?
Last night I took DD and her best friend to Disney on Ice. It was very good. Tickets were MSE as they were reduced but I bought the girls a bag of candyfloss each, took £10 out of my purse and the seller said that'l be £15 please. Not so MSE.

Very successful day today - sold 35 jars of chutney, jam and marmalade for £70 to one delightful colleague/friend for gifts and for home! I did 5 jars for £10 and then added 2 large lovely Le Parfait jars for free as a gift as felt too guilty to charge £80 in total
Nice one!
Will put this towards my secret santa and work night out!
I'm really happy with this as now have some cupboard space back and saves mum from endless jars of chutney! Saved a few jars for the other people who said they wanted a couple of jars and then some for me toofinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
