Hope you are all well - those who have colds/chest infections hope you get better soon!!!

I have had a busy few days - been to a baby shower, out with ex MIL & FIL, had a lovely family day yesterday with roast dinner and board games in front of the open fire - lovely!!!

Not done any shopping, but I have received my candles and soaps curtesy of the freebies (low spend board), both of which can be used in my hamper and my sisters stocking.

CDsmiler and legendmum - have voted for both babies - what little cuties! :D

Here is my challenge (thanks mum2one), with my updates...

any other ideas for cheap but tasteful mugs?

Have you got a B&M near you? They have some lovely Xmas mugs 50p & £1. I bought 4 50p ones with Santa, snowmen and rudolph on. Gonna make snowman soup to go in them for our Christmas Eve Goodie Box/Hamper. They have other designs too.

Quick update on the kitchen - worktops, sink and new tap are in and look fantastic! The tiler is coming tomorrow. OH is still working putting the new units together now, bless him! I will then be spending Wednesday (hopefully) putting things back in the cupboards so the first part of the challenge will be complete!
Really enjoy catching up with everyone else's posts. I am about half way through my shopping so really need to get a wriggle on, got to wait until OH gets paid tho!!!

I cleaned and organised our pantry today :j

Tomorrow I have miserable paperworky legal stuff to do and then buying the small girl snow trousers - with a little bonus trip to buy frozen puff pastry and check the date on the vacuum sealed English muffins, both of which will be an advance purchase for Christmas!! If I find frozen regular pastry I'll buy that for mince pies

  • Hey everyone

Did go to Harrods in the end (to be honest I only go there to get bits for my stepmum - she's American so she loves all that stuff.) I got a few bits for their hamper so that's everything sorted for that apart from the stuff I'm going to make...

Cannot bear going there in the run up to Christmas, you can't move for tourists! Better to get it all out of the way now.

    ;)

  • Thanks for the tips. have got the £5 voucher for debenhams but got to use it tomorrow. hopefully find something there. If not i'll look in town because we have a poundland, 'home bargains' and a 'pound stretcher' all together.

am so surprised and happy with how helpful and quick you guys are.. so im going to annoy you with another question...

i have two neices and a nephew. the girls are sorted but he isn't. He is 19years old and is on an electricial course. so far i have got him a toiletry set, sweets and chocolate. i have about £15 left on his budget. Unsure what to get him. My boyfriend mentioned tools for his course, or maybe something for his car (which he is always riding around in). I've struggled because i find it easy to buy for teenage girls but a struggle with boys.

    Thanks
