FROM MISS HOODIE – THE CLEANING CHALLENGE
    Next week :D

    CHRISTMAS GOODIES – Food
It's all finished, although I'm probably going to buy the ingredients for some lovely fudge that I can give for gifts just in case

    HAVE THAT CHAT
Christmas dinner for two and a baby, no one else is invited ;)

    WRAPPING
I have all the wrapping paper I could possibly use and am in the middle of packaging and addressing all the stuff that needs to go overseas. The three big boxes for my parents and my nephews and niece are boxed but not sealed or addressed, I'll close up/address those three at the last minute.

    CHRISTMAS CARDS
All on my list for next week so I can post them all from the UK.

    CHRISTMAS ORDERING
    All done :)

    VISTA PRINT
I got a calendar in the €1 shop and some mini business cards from the Moo offer so don't need anything else.

    UNWANTED / GROWN OUT OF
    Next week!!

    TABLE TOP SALES
I'm staying away from these so I don't buy anything else :money:

    MAKING PRESENTS/ CRAFTING
    Done!!

    FOOD
Cake's currently sealed in foil awaiting further cognac.

    CHRISTMAS PUDDINGS
    It's lurking in the pantry.

    TURKEY OR XMAS MEAT
    Chicken!

    STUFFING
    Sounds v omnomnom :)

    FOOD LIST
On my list for tomorrow :j

    FOOD FOR THE FREEZER
I'm currently in the throes of emptying the freezer so we can refill it with delicious stuff.

    CARS
    We don't have one!

    WRAPPING PRESENTS
Everything except the baby's is wrapped, and I'm going to leave hers till the last minute so I can set it all up. I don't want her unwrapping things and having to wait around while I unbox them.

    MEDICATION
I don't take anything, but I've stocked up on Lemsip and reminded Husband about his. I'm also planning to organise our household first-aid kit in case we need something while theshops are closed.

    LADIES
    Haircut booked :j
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I went off for a half hour lay down and a magazine and came back and you are all very chatty lol :).

I have only really discovered how good boots points are. Now when my mum buys any make up or perfume I offer to pick it up for her and always go to boots and get the points :) she doesn't have a card and barely uses boots so she isn't fussed lol. But I only have 164 points so going to use boots most the time (so long as things are on offer and cheaper then my usual places) and hopefully have money on the points card to spend towards next years birthdays from Sep and Xmas presents.

Does anyone else buy much from boots of use their boots points a lot?

Those beechums all in one tablets didn't help me , i am so head-achy and bunged up yuck. All the kids at work (i work in a nursery) are full of colds and bugs too , no matter how sterile you make the place how much you get the kids to wash there hands and wrap up warm nothing stops them getting colds then we get them :( tut lol. Sorry about that rant , i hate colds , can u guess?

    xxx

Hope your feeling better, sure its the weather.

Just a thought re Boots and points - if your on pay and go, top up at Boots you get the 4p back in £1.00. I do the families through the year and have had a few bits and pieces but already upto £50. Will admit the £10 from the weekend helped xx

I started saving my points in January. I had £11 in points from all the sale stuff I bought. I've got another £14.00 worth of points through the year so that made my total £25.00. Last week there was a glitch on Elizabeth Arden stuff on the grabbit, so I bought four perfume sets for next year, a perfume for DD1, aftershave for OH, and got a whopping £50.48 in points. So I have over £75 boots points for the Boots 75% off sale. I said I LOVED MSE but I love it more than that. I love it THIS MUCH. :D

I've just been conned by Miss Hoodie, either that or i'm teaching her too well, shes just done her treasure hunt as she calls it, she goes round the toy machines and the 2p slots and came back with handful of sweets and a hairband and clips set - been won but not collected and came back said i don't like these, but you can have them for a fiver....... gave her a £1. x

  • A big thank you to Susan42 and mum2one, you have both restored my faith in humanity. Plus all the others who have stood up for me.

    Really means a lot :heartpuls

Now back to those kitchen cupboards...... xx
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)
  • Anyone doing a hamper that needs a nice bottle in it? There is a grabbit at the moment for the Marks and Spencers White Chocolate & Vanilla Cream Liquor (their version of baileys).

For some reason they are reduced from £10.99 down to £2.49. I never seem to get a grabbit but went to m&s tonight and managed to get 2 bottles. :j They had quite a few on the shelves.

Really pleased as I was just going to bottles of wine but this makes the hampers look much nicer. Might go back tomorrow and get one for us, if there are any left!

    Evening all

I've spent nearly all evening catching up and I thought I'd been on yesterday. This is such a brilliant thread.

Mum2one, are you away at the moment? Reading about Miss Hoodie and the machines - also wondered what entertainers you were talking about? It appears that everyone you know -at the school and everywhere gets presents - I bet they are all very pleased you think of them. That is really thoughtful. I think you must really enjoy present buying (and wrapping).

I bought some more Christmas cards today and will probably sideline the others I bought earlier in the year (but didn't like).

Congratulations to the new mum on here, my goodness that was a big baby :)

Welcome to all the new members and for those of you feeling unwell I remember there are coughs and colds and a bad ankle, sending you all the best :)
