Real Toothfairy - those pots of gold look fab
mum2one - hope you and Miss Hoodie had a successful shopping trip!
Well, the Christmas cake is in the oven - didn't realise how long it takes to cook! Probably be up till midnight waiting for it - it smells good though...
My order from cakescookies and whatever the website is called came today - the boxes are really nice, just have to make something to go in them now!
Nipped to Ikea earlier and bought some jars - 2 with airtight lids to put my lemon and lime curd in and one glass one with stars on that I'm going to fill with sweets, it's really nice. They have all their Christmas bits in now too so I bought some wrapping paper and gift bags. They've got some lovely decorations too.
Hope everyone is ok and having a nice weekend.0 -

I got the little bowls from Sainsburys......they are little plastic bowls from the partyware range ....around £1.70 ish for a pack of 10.
I then used cut up pieces of tinsel to line the bowls and then filled with the gold bits and bobs...HTH xxNever buys anything at full price unless completely forced to do so!!! :whistle:0 -
Love your pots of gold Real Toothfairy and the Monkey is cute too, well done you xx
I got the cord to make some button necklaces today but couldnt get them to look right no matter how I did them. The buttons kept turning the wrong way round and they looked a mess so gave up on the idea for now.
Got my jewellery making stuff out instead to see what I had left and made some bracelets, one for my eldest daughter using some beads and some metal buttons like a charm bracelet, then started 4 others using just beads as charms for my 4 nieces. Got 2 of them finished, need a couple more clasps for the other two and need to put the beads on.
Fabric turned up for Dad's cushion so can make a start on that too.
Hope you're all having a nice weekend. Rufus xx0 -

The wallet / purse is now having a padlock on it, good clothes shop in Sainsburys, them it was add gloves, scarf, hat, for dd and me, then she saw some leather gloves (£6), so becuase I was having a pair, she had to have a pair. Got a few bits for xmas.
Then after dinner - Aldi - got the last 2 ready mix pastry, another mincemeat and a few other bits, but wasn't paying £9 for vodka to make flavoured vodka - so off to Tesco.
1st thing Miss Hoodie spotted Jedward tshirt - then new undewear, can't complain got some sale stuff, then spotted really nice black mac, £14 - thought really gd value - got to the checkout, everything started going downhill, the cashier didn't even speak, when I asked him if he could help with the bags couldn't get them open - NO - he just sat their stirring, the girl by him kept turning around, thought I'd grow a 2nd head!!
Paid left the store - the alarms went - never seen a security guard move so fast - he stopped me by grabbing the trolley - stupid move as got the one crutch useing the trolley for store, then accused of possible taking an item - would I follow him, I refused, asked for a manager - he refused to get, he then starts routing through the shopping, he moaned at the amount of bags - pack light as where we live have to walk to the house, then when he saw the coat he asked what else had I got in there - nothing - what a suprise the cashier hadn't taken the security tag off, he dumped the shopping on the floor, I had to pick it up myself.
So I put a complaint in at the desk, I felt so humilated, other customer stopped to stare, and it makes you look guilty. The manager said any clothing over £10 has tags and should of been removed...he managed to do in on the vodka. The manager said she would get back to me tomorrow and put a letter of apology in the post...
Miss Hoodie has came down with a coughing session, sods laws - its nearlt school holidays....
Nothing else done today - plan 2mor, make mince pies, and cherry scones, and do the vodka, got some smaller bottles they go in there, doing peardrop, kola cubes and toffee vodka.
In the fun of games of the day - did get a couple of prezzies, Bailey (the dog), brought dad pack of beers £5 (tesco) and tube with Christmas ale one for dad and one for uncle - tradition as since dd was born my uncle has his christmas ale from Miss Hoodie.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
