    Hello everyone :)

Thank you all for the birthday wishes - I have had a fantastic time!!!

My trip away was so lovely - B&M and home bargains are soooooo fab - we spent hours in them and brought loads in each shop! They have so many great deals, I couldn't get over how cheap everything was! Tictacks cost 57p a pack where we live and they were 19p a pack in home bargains, I actually checked the date on them as I thought that they must be out of date but they were in date until april next year! They had a minnie mouse lip balm for 29p and even the non branded lip balms where we live are over 50p, branded are over a pound! They also had a minnie mouse back pack and I had been searching for one of these for ages and the cheapest I could find where we live was £8 - home bargains had them for £2.99!!!! Oh my god, there were so many great finds I could go on forever but I won't bore you with all the details lol!
Apart from all the great shopping, it was also lovely to just get away and have some time, just me and hubby and have a break from the kids!
I absolutely fell in love with Hemle Hampstead and I'm really considering re-locating there as it was a beautiful place and everyone was so much more friendly then where we live.

Today has been lovely, been spoiled by family - hubby did a tea party for me this afternoon and my sister and her bf came which was lovely! I am one very happy bunny lol!

Hope everyone else has had a good weekend too? xx

Glad you had a lovely time, I am so jealous of you going to those shops, we have neither anywhere near us down in Kent. Best we have is Wilkinsons or 99p shop. Poundland is in next town but dont go there often, too busy.

Just printed out the new labels for the chocolate bars. I have done a holly background with a small santa on the front holding up a poster and put the girls name on the board. There were 4 small bars in a pack so have done all 4 and then wrapped them up again in some of the lovely Susan42's cello. Done two packs of them for two great nieces. Thats all of them done now so can get on with the dolls clothes if I get a chance today. OH is off and dont know if we are going out or not until he gets up.

    Hi everyone!

Need to get all the Christmas pressies down off the top of the wardrobe as it's my little neice's birthday on Thursday and her presents are in one of the boxes. I'm in two minds whether to start wrapping the rest or not! I don't leaving it to the last minute as I get stressed, but I wan't to get the Christmas spirit. I may just do a few at a time.

I hope you have a good day with OH Rufus. Happy anniversary for Saturday. My OH is 16 years older than me. I've heard the term cougar used a bit lately. What is it (other than an animal) is it a female sugar daddy? You'll have to tell me because I'm sweet and innocent! :rotfl:

Elysia2003 I start my wrapping this time of year most years as i have so much going on during December anyway with my children etc that there is still plenty of christmas spirit iykwim. Plus it is one thing out the way and done. i wrap mine, put back into cardboard boxes and stash in the loft.

I read last year that some people take some toys like dolls, teddys etc out the boxes then wrap so it isready for their younger children to play with straightaway. Does anyone else do this and if so is it needs batteries is it safe to put them in this early and wrap?? I am thinking of doing this for my little girl as i know she will be too impatient to wait for me to get the toy out of the packaging (prob take a day or 2 nowadays with the amount of screws and plastic ties they use tie the toy to the box) then batteries into it.

I've done that - put batteries in and taken all the fastenings out of the box (but put the item back in, so it's easier to wrap), but like I say, I usually wrap beginning of December.

Thanks for the tip - I think if I dedicate one day a week and do a pile at a time, it'll spread it out a bit and reduce the stress. I might do it tomorrow because the Avon order has just arrived and I have to pack it all up tonight. :(. I hate delivering in the dark and cold and wet - bring back summer!
