The toast proposed at our wedding was for "health, wealth and happiness". Our family may not have the health and wealth but we make up for it with the happiness:D

I finally made it to the out of town shops for the sales today. we have had snow for the last two and a half weeks and although we had more snow last night at least the main roads are OK. I was so disappointed with what was available - there was much more this time last year. all I bought was 2 christmas mugs and a couple of mini games from Matalan. there was nothing left in Tesco
I did buy a cupcake cookie jar which I will fill (not sure what with yet!) for my Mum for mothers day from Home Bargains.
I have decided to do colour themed hampers this year. am making a pink one for my SIL birthday, maybe purple for my Mum and not sure for MIL.
will see what I can find in the boots sale.

I have decided to limit my spend next year - was really disappointed at how ungrateful my kids were this year. It's not like they have loads either, they just seemed really unimpressed with everything. I really wish I had flogged DD1's Go-Go Hamster on Ebay and had the extra cash instead!

I know what you mean with this - last year was first year I have really got lots of presents far in advance (getting slightly better organised as the years go by!), and actually the kids liked the stuff but by the time it got to christmas they had added other stuff to their list that they would have preferred.
Have decided this year to work really hard to get vouchers from surveys, bingoport etc so that can do present-buying nearer the time but still without spending a fortune. Also I sort of missed the feeling of 'Christmas shopping'.
But really want to be organised in terms of preparations, making stuff, food buying and time this year, so I can relax and enjoy it properly. THank you so much you guys for last year - only found you in about September I think so really loooking forward to a whole year!!!0 -
