Susan I agree with the others and wouldnt refund him.
I just ordered anothe free photo cotton bag, a free pen and a free photo wall calendar from Vistaprint. Only paid postage so got all that lot for fiver! A few more pressies sorted.
Anyone know if theres a limit to how many free things you can order?
Edit - just found that it says:
"FREE offers are not valid on any more than 4 items per order. Please note that Vistaprint reserves the right to rescind, revoke or terminate this offer at any time, with or without cause."
So does that mean you can order as many as you want but not more than 4 at a time? Obviously I wouldnt expect to order for the whole street but would like to get a few more christmas presents.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Susan - NO NO NO - No Refund! Just email him and say it fits and it was sold as seen. I ALWAYS put on the bottom of the listing that I'm not a business seller and don't accept returns, and if they don't like it, don't bid. It sounds harsh but hopefully it works because I've never had any comeback.
I wish OH would send me to a spa and fit me out a craft room. I just have a desk (on my blog) and it's absolutely stuffed. I only had it a month ago (early chrissie pressie).
Well done Pinkflop - you are doing brilliantly! Just think about December when everyone's running around like headless chickens!
Clare - How dare they make you work when you'd rather be on here!
OOH got to go and investigate - OH is making funny noises upstairs. He's sawing something, I'd best go and supervise - as usual! He can't do anything on his own.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Chillout - biscuit tins - perhaps you'd find one in the charity shop. I've seen them in mine.
Alternatively, I've got a massive round cake tin that is as big and tall as a drum, it was from one of those Panettone cakes.
Thanks for that Angela, Elysia and Xstitchcrazee. I'll look out for a giant Panettone in a tin. As I'm gluten free, it's easier to dress up a panettone as a gift than a pile of biscuits. I'm certainly going to mooch around some charity shops though, but is push comes to shove, it'll be a 23cms tin upside down trick. :T
Regarding Christmas preps. I'm a bit slow on this as my birthday Dec 6th, so I don't get Christmassy until after. The only thing I've done so far is to look at cards in discount shops. There is a plus to them, they are not dated. When I was working, I used to buy Charity cards, watching the price rise from competitive to branded cards, to being premium priced. When I stopped work, I made a huge false economy. I bought a whole load of gorgeous charity cards in the new year sale to find THEY WERE DATED! Now it's one thing looking for economies, but you look a total cheapskate sending a card that's 3 years old.
I had thought of making my own. (I am a painter) but I'm also such a perfectionist, I'd drive myself mad. They would never be good enough and I'd just end up wasting loads of materials and depress myself. But I will think about it....
Bit of market research here. Your opinions and preferences very welcome. I'm going to make a stack of mint fondants to give away. I've seen tray moulds for sweets/chocolates in £saver for 99p that are sold in Kitchens for @£12!!! However, unless you very competent and experienced, moulds don't guarantee uniformity, air bubbles etc., especially if you use fair trade sugars which are not quite so refined. So if you were to receive hand made sweets would you prefer a more artisan appearance or prefer more uniformity? I feel relieved just asking for your opinions.
Thanks in advance for this. Chillout5892

Chillout - please take some advise and chillout!
Handmade means exactly that - not store bought mass produced perfection. I'm hoping to make my christmas cards this year (i've made four so far) but I hve started as I mean to go on and have made birthday cards etc (look on my blog if you'd like a peep) being arty it would be easy for you! It takes me hours sometimes for a simple card.
And as for the sweets, the odd air bubble adds to the homemade charm. If it's really bad you could always drizzle a bit of chocolate over it. There's nothing to worry about. Go ahead, try, and most of all - have fun!

By the way, I have a growing pile of shoes that need new soles and heels. When I was a child, we used to buy stick on soles form Woolies. It certainly worked for school shoes. I see ebay do them as well as heel tips. Has anyone used these recently? Are they any good? At £15 a pair in my local cobblers, it's over a weeks DMP budget! In fact it would be cheaper to buy shoes from Prim@rk! Anyone else contemplating this?
Thanks in advance for this. Chillout5892

LOL Point well made, and taken.
You can see the state I get in, I didn't realise I had already posted it as I lost connection for a second and then decided I ought to make better use of the posting etc.etc. etc. and posted twice.
I don't know if I ought to give myself a good talking to or hit the booze. I think a little bit of what I fancy......
Thanks. :A:cool: Chillout5892

Hi everyone, just dropping in,
On a sour note, i sold a screen on ebay. It cost £8.45 to post, and the chap wanted another part i had which i let him have for £4 instead of £20. The postage i didnt charge anything for as i started it free p+p. He emailed me and says he doesnt want the screen, says it doesnt fit but he`ll keep the £4 part as that does. And he wants full refund.
He then emailed saying the screen does fit and he wants another lead to connect it. It has a part with it to connect it but he wants the 2nd part which is sold separately.
Question - do i give him his money back in full plus the postage of him sending it back? I didnt say i had a returns policy. If someone has something and its faulty or broke i usually give them a full refund. But this screen has nothing wrong with it.
I dont know what to think, i thought it was sold as seen.
No. It fits. You talk about leads, so I'm presuming this is something like a PC screen, and I suspect, it not only fits, but he's using it but would prefer the second lead which is longer possibly? Nah, sale is done and over. Offer him a sale of the second lead with standard 2nd class P&P but offer to send it first class at no extra cost to him, as you are aware he's waiting. I'm sure he wants good feedback as a buyer too! Chillout5892

Free photo cotton bag? and what is the pen like? I ordered a mug today that was free well £3.97 postage and tax! Its for my Mums chocolate hamper, got a pic of 4 chocs on it and I wrote 'Nanny Loves Chocolate' underneath. Thought this would go with the snowman soup in the hamper!

TY all for your opinions, i`ve decided to hold film, i usually end up losing. I told him it was sold as seen and now he says he wants a different part entirely because he has compatibility issues. I advertised it properly, he emailed before he bought it and i gave him part numbers. he`s winding me up i think...he wants a part from the motherboard which i already sold. I dont think he know what he wants anymore.
pinkflop - well done on the organising and your right people do tyr it on
between him and sky i`m going around the bend
pips mum- i ordered 5 times on vistaprint 4 items a time over a week and it all came in the same box. So I saved them postage:rotfl:
chillout - i personally would prefer artisan as it would look more lovinly done
Elysia, could the other half be making you a craft room ? I love your cards, they`re beautiful. And are you having some challenges?
