    Hello all :j

elysia - just looked at your blog............super cards :T

susan - ref.mini pegs.............sorted out a solution and put them in with the fabric hearts I've made for my son ..........I've popped some string in as well so he can peg the loops of the hearts on the string.........tried it out and it works.......:T
Good idea about a peg for serviettes...........especially for little grandson.........he gets in such a mess.........lol:rotfl: If I can fathom our how to make the santa cutlert holder and add a serviette with a ''santa'' peg (full size one would be better and clip on firmer) that would make another little pressie for him.

    rufus..........what a lot of bargains :T

Done not a lot today apart from turn empty tic tac box into a snowman.............lol just need the tic tacs now or some other little mint that'll fit in.
Had to take our lad to opticians this afternoon so popped in charity shop on the way back (left purse at home !!!:() loads of stuff I really really wanted so methinks another trip there tomorrow.........with purse and shopping bag............:)

I know I've missed loads of people out but you're all so busy and well organised..........well done -especially with the baking :T(I shy away from all that as I'm c**p anywhere near the kitchen..........lol)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hello everyone!

Chillout, I must second Elysia and say that you are worrying unduly about your sweets, even with expensive moulds, they can come out all wrong.

Your cards - if you like drawing and painting but are scared of your inner critic, there are two easy ways it can be silenced -

In the following only do a basic outline, nothing fancy.

    1. draw a silhouette e.g. one of those biblical scenes with about three buildings, a palm tree and a few stars - fill in with black ink.
    2. use pen and ink and draw a cottage, gate or postbox with a robin on top and paint the robin red, leave everything else untouched.

These are just examples of designs, you can choose your own. When I've done this I've drawn the design in the bottom rh corner of an A4 sheet. Then photocopy and fold each sheet twice so you end up with 4 small pages and the design at the front. Hope that makes sense.

Shoes and soles, my dad used to mend my shoes with pieces of leather he cut from old shoes, they worked well. I do have some stick on soles from Betterware but haven't used them yet. I have used heel tips in the past and they worked well but I think it depends on what kinds of shoes you have as nowadays the soles and heels are made differently to the past when they were easier to fit.

What heels do your shoes have?

Pips mum you're late - are you on Campaign 17? I delivered those a fortnight ago ;). Some nice stuff in there though.

Chillout - thanks for that - I thought I was a bit harsh then. Take it easy, Christmas should be fun and not stressful. Join in often, we'll have you all sorted before you know it. We start straight after christmas (January sales Way hey!!!) it sounds silly but it's really helpful in spreading 1, the cost 2, the fun, and finally, spreading out the time - instead of rushing and doing it all in two or three months, we have 12.

Susan - I tried to comment but blogger is playing up as per usual. Do you fancy a lodger? That room would be my idea of heaven. :A

No he wasn't building me a craft room just putting up a 12 inch floating shelf - how long did it take him? Two hours.

Anglea -Thanks for the idea re: the printing of the Christmas cards. I could get the kids to draw a picture and print them out as cards for their friends.

Oops edited to add: I've done my freezer but I need to do the fridge too. My cello cones arrived for snowman soups and my raffia arrived off ebay too. I can make a start now. :D

Susan your craft room is lovely I cant wait to see what you make in there next, I love your blog.
Pips mum Im very jealous of you and your Avon book, they keep coming through the letterbox here and I order lovely things and they never come.
elysia Your blog is lovely I love all your card. I love making cards Im just not very good at it, hopefully one day they will be as nice as yours.

Well my heating was finished yesterday so I was finally able to move my christmas presents back home, I seem to have gone a little OTT with my 2 Godsons and their brothers presents. Anyway Ive sorted them out and they all have christmas presents and easter presents now.

So my christmas present list consists of the following
    My dogs Xmas Pressies
    My friends dogs Xmas present
    Stocking fillers for OH
Christmas Eve Hamper for OH and me to share

I really need to decide what crafty bits to make (they never look great but I enjoy it)

Hope everyone is having a great night xxx

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about my cards! They're not brilliant, but I have fun trying.

DD2 wants me to do her a cross stitch picture, so I may work towards that for her birthday in January!

Mrsow - I have that problem too. I seem to have gone a bit made with a few people, and then I bought some spare presents from Boots in the January sales and have no-one allocated to give them too. I've worked out I've started on Christmas next year. Note to self - make sure you fill out your spread sheet next year! ;)

susan -sorry , I forgot to say ''pay of OH's back for your craft room.......lucky you''

chillout...........don't worry about home made things not being perfect........mine never are...........lol and no-one ever complains about it. I'd rather see something made with love and care and a bit out of shape than perfection from a production line.

Angela - what brilliant ideas for cards :T

Just taken me nearly an hour to order ten free samples off the ''almost freebie'' board.......

In great need of caffeine intake now I think:rotfl:

Oh I realised i posted that wrong earlier, it should have been thanks Elysia and Susan!!

Legendmum - The free cotton bag is lovely and perfect for Grannies! The pen is cute, I ordered spotty one and wrote "Nanny`s pen, love and Cuddles from Pip" Just ordered another for his Godmother saying similar. I can find the pen on there still here but I can only get the bag from my previous order?

    Elysia
its book 16, I know from when i used to do it a few years ago that different areas were behind and they did it to make stock availability better, not sure if thats still the case?

Just spent ages catching up on here, does it always move at this pace or is it just cos we're getting closer to christmas?
Anyway i have read soo much can't remember names, sorry!

To person selling screen, i agree with everyone elses advice, stand strong and don't back down he's just trying to push his luck!

If anything is homemade it's always better if it looks home made, (otherwise you might as well just buy it and then re-package it) definately adds to the charm and feel.

    Hello everyone :)
Been a while since I last posted due to my laptop problems!

Susan42 - thanks for the info on replacing the screen, too late now though as since I soaked it in coke it is no longer working, but good to know in case I have any more accidents lol! Having to use my old one now (the one that turns off if you so much as nudge it!) until I can get a new one.
If anyone sees any good deals on a nice laptop then that would be really helpful, but I want a proper laptop, not one of those tiny things with no where to put a disk!

In regards to the mince pie making - I wasn't being organised, just fancied some lol! I will probably make some more soon to freeze ready for xmas as I love homemade ones, but can't stand ready made!

Been busy buying bits here and there over the last few weeks and then last night I had a sort out and have got quite a lot more then I thought so not doing too bad :)

Won't be on over the next coupple of days as hubby taking me away tomorrow for my birthday. We're going to Hemel Hemstead and Stevenage as they have a b&m and a home bargains and I have wanted to go to those shops for soooo long but they are quite a long way away so I've never been able to. I can't wait :) Really thoughtful of him as well, as he hates shopping but he's planned the whole thing so I can shop till I drop on fri and sat and we'll be home by sat night so that I can spend my birthday on sunday with the kids.

Anyway, better get on and pack my bags ready for tomorrow. Hope you all have a good weekend xx
