Angela -love that idea of the old fashioned type photo album with the black pages..........only thing I could think of was covering a kitchen roll middle and doing it as a scroll. Like your idea much better. The pages could be ages a bit round the edges with a bit of cold coffee or tea and old people love to look through a book -I know MIL does and my Mum used to. And if Clare's got any photos of her Nan (the old black and white ones) that would all add to it.
My peg problem now solved................going to give them to my son with the fabric hearts I've made him and he can clip them on to some string..............:jI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Glad the link was of use mummysLB.
I haven't done anything for Christmas yet present wise - although I spent all year preparing for DS2's Christmas and Birthday (January) because I make about 20 collaged A5 envelopes with glossy images on them for different thing e.g. treats, clothes, cafe, days out etc so he knows what the money will be for. He lives in an adult home. I had a look at them recently and realised I needed more because I used some for Easter and his recent holiday.
This is the first year I considered starting in February, last year it was a mad panic at the last moment.
Hampers - the children like food ones, but DS1 eats them in one go - how he isn't ill I'll never know. Perhaps a cooking themed hamper as he enjoys to cook and less things in it that can be eaten straight off.
All year I was taking photos with a single camera I was going to use for special albums for my dad and DS2 - and put them in those Victorian looking albums. However, my ex FIL has died over the summer and was in lots of the photos and I feel uncomfortable about doing it now, might leave it until next year.
Mum - something gardening/cooking related probably0 -
Mary, your fabric hearts and pegs gave me an idea. I've seen advent calendar projects (stockings) hung on lines across the wall, so you hearts could be pouches for choccies and pegged up on a ribbon hung for Valentines, Easter etc.0

Angela -good idea but the fabric hearts I made for my son are all sewn up and stuffed with a button at the top and a ribbon to hang them on something -the pegs will be perfect.
If I have some left over I could do a little something for little grandson maybe.:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary when you see the verse you liked again, could you handwrite it out, and then type it into Word on the computer. You could fancy it up in different fonts etc then and get it to just the size you needed. If I can be of any help, let me know.
Thanks for all the links and ideas everyone. They are most useful.
For all of you who are finished - Well done!!! I'm nearly there! Trouble is I have no birthdays at all from June until October and then I have LOADS until Mid January. I have to factor those in too - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! :rotfl:I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Oh gutted - don't think DD is quite old enough at 10 months.... lol
Angela - Thanks for the idea. I'm going to do her a hot prints book with a load of old pictures we scanned in from some old slides, so will try to do that in an old style if possible. Your idea sounds fab, but I'm having a hard time getting NORMAL information from family about her presents (who wants to buy the family crest, if anyone, for example - no straight answers) - do to do something that detailed...it would end up being all me! I shall store the idea though as if I find I have time, I could have a go!! Given me food for thought.... thank you!
Mary - hmmmm, you're right. Will think about Angela's idea a bit more I think..... thank you!
Finally leaving work! Apprentice tonight so probably won't get online! Will catch up tomorrow!!
Clare xAddicted to Disneyland Paris!
