I really will stop egotiscally quoting myself after this one :rotfl:
However I was so excited, is that sad? I nipped to Mr A to pick them up and they cost even less
Bowls £5
Lidded Roaster/Fridge Storage £4
2x Roaster £7
Total - £16 saving £39.50 compared to Debenhams £55.50 for exactly the same items
Mary - I've been up and down today - not good this morning, better this afternoon and hoping tomorrow is good all day. I can still feel my throat is infected and I'm still not up to running (2 weeks off now )
While I'm on the subject of Asda (I don't work for them!) they had Silentnight Duvets and pillow on offer. Single £12 and double £14, no king size and 2 pillows for £6.
Might be handy if you have guests staying over and need some new bedding
Funny because I rarely go to Asda and only went today for the tin set and a look round :rotfl:final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

My ebay order turned up today - the stuff is really good too so I am very pleased with it. Have decided to have a day in October to start making all the foody stuff to go in it. (Will have to try and get rid of the OH though, he's always in the way where cooking is concerned!!) Come to think of it, I remember he's got a day at the rugby with his friends at some point so may have to schedule it for then!
Fedup - hope you're feeling better, think I am going down with something now. Everyone at work seems to be sniffling and coughing at the moment. The poor bloke who sits behind me has just had the flu so badly he was signed off for 3 weeks!! Fingers crossed I will be ok tomorrow after a nice hot bath and an early night.
Need all my strength for whatever Miss Hoodie has got in store... :rotfl:0 -
I love this thread! Have been a lurker since last year and only posted a couple of times! Got soooo many fab ideas!:j
My xmas shopping seems to be going really well. I made a fair bit clearing out some stuff and ebaying it. So I have been using ebay to get some xmas pressies.
I managed to get my son a lovely new watch as a replacement for his current one (which has broken but he still insists on wearing it!) - saved myself £5 on the rrp so was very pleased!
I also got some gorgeous John Lewis xmas pj's BNWT for £8 and free delivery. They arrived today and are so gorgeous! They even have £18 on the tag! Really pleased and they'll go into his xmas eve hamper.
Every day, I seem to be having more parcels arriving and as it was all ebay money, dont feel I have spent out anything. I have also been spending ages looking for things so have bagged myself lots of bargains. Poor DS can't understand why all these parcels keep getting swept away and hidden (he's 6)! I am so lucky I have a fab postie who hides my parcels while I'm at work! :j
Hope everyone is feeling better. I can totally sympathise - woke up yesterday feeling 100% and ended the day with the snots and a sore throat! Struggled through today at work and now feel like I have been hit by a bus! Thank goodness I have 3 days off now! :rotfl:Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas."

Hello and welcome to all the new members :T
Turn3r - yes, the UK shops are starting to get their Christmas stock out so you'll have plenty to choose from when you come back!
Pipsmum - sorry to hear about your Grandad, (((hugs))))
I've just placed another Vistaprint order, this time I got a free personalised mug, notebook and matching pen for my niece. I also got a free personalised canvas bag for my Mum. I paid £4 something for the postage but I imagine the parcel would be heavy with the mug included, so I don't think that's too bad. I think my niece will love the bright pink mug, notebook and pen set with her name on and I can't wait to see them!
Oooh, I'm so excited for the challenge tomorrow. My house is full of boxes piled everywhere ready for moving next Friday and I've been sorting, emptying and cleaning everywhere I can think of so I'm not even scared of any cleaning challenges!
My 2 year old son has requested something for Christmas - an elephant! Usually he asks for a toy elephant (which he already has several of!) but sometimes he insists he wants a real one  He's elephant obsessed at the moment, when I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said an elephant :rotfl:!!!Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
There's some good deals on at the Book People plus on the grabbit board a code for 10% off and also free del
I've ordered 5 christmas presents 3 books and 2 calenders plus a book for me (Sarah Raven's Christmas!) all way way cheaper than amazon coming in at £25.96 for everything
2 of the books on amazon are £11.88 (£35.64), one is £16 and the other is £9 making it £60.64 saving £28.68 without including the cost of 2 calenders (£6 for 2)
That's it now for Christmas present buying for a bit - more or less done now.
