    The Freezer

The husband is on the case, I plan to inventory it this weekend and we're already merrily eating Freezer Surprise a lot.

    Food List

Done - the list's fairly minimal, we have loads of bits and pieces already and just need chicken, potatoes and veg etc :o

    Halloween

Baby's costume is on its way and I have liberated one of my white coats from the hospital so I can be a scary doctor. Husband will no doubt think of his own.

    Stockings

Also mostly done :oHusband isn't getting one (against my first inclination) because then I won't have one and although he won't know I'll be :( not to have one I'll still be :( Baby's will have small toys, books and fruit in it.

    Ebay

I'm going to put my >99p stuff on this weekend, should really start loading it into Turbo Lister tonight.

    Christmas Lists

All done :o:beer: and I'm making inroads into 2011 ;)

    Secret santas presents

I'm not going to participate from Germany, I think it's too complicated to organise delivery from here. But it sounds lovely and I look forward to hearing what you all end up with :)

    Christmas Tree

We don't have anything for a tree because we've never had one before - I'm going to think of a place to put it and a way to baby-proof it, and once Ikea have their Christmas stuff out we'll pay a visit and organise some decorations :rotfl:

Actually I did buy a couple of strings of LED lights already so all is not lost.

    Christmas Presents - Batteries

    Reusables!!

    Christmas paper

Wrapping is done, except for the baby's stuff and we still have loads of paper left over.

    Time for the chat

A friend of mine has stopped buying our group of girl friends gifts - she's just bought a house and money's a bit tight. But I don't want to stop getting her things; I don't get her stuff to get it in return but because I like her, and I've already told her that. People who aren't as close are getting home made chutney instead of a gift that costs money rather than time.

    Pampering

Excellent idea, I am planning to organise a ladies' day out at a spa complete with saunas, steam rooms etc.

    Christmas Cakes

Had completely forgotten about these, thanks!

    Hampers

Not Applicable, although I love watching all your hampers turn into lovely looking things from a pile of bits and bobs.

The School Presents - Mums challenge

Molly's music class people will get a box of chocolates or more likely home made cookies :money:

    The I wants.......

Sounds good, but does it maybe need its own thread?

    Last one - promise - "Don't forget"

It's all in one place here, we've not enough storage space to lose stuff!

Thank you mum2one and Miss Hoodie, a great mix of feeling organised and reminders of stuff I'd forgotten

    I love these!

Going to pinch this idea and make a couple for gifts, have plenty of ribbon can use and some tags to adapt

Just need to find some jars - did you get yours from £1 land?

Must make a note of these in my Christmas book.

Had a major tidy up in the spare room and sorted out a place for the presents plus a major fling and charity shop baggin up session. Just leaves some stuff for ebay when I get round to listing it again/

Susan - Those snowman jars are absolutely fab, I'm going to be very cheeky and borrow your idea, - there amazing. Thinking there go brilliantly with the "school list", changed my santas soup slightly, I've got white mugs with rose prints, then going to add some sachets, cappicuno, latte, hot choc etc, then got 6 mini whisks - just put a note on - have a drink on me. xx

Thou sure be 1 for the jar, one for me!! - Can't remember who asked about red cherry lips - I'm sure seen them in asda or netto in the kids sweets.
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    DONE

    Food List

List done of what is needed.....Got lists in order of - Things that can be brought from now (cupboard stuff) eg Chocs etc that wont go off

Turkey - Ordered mine fresh last year and got a nice small one for about £20 if I remember rightly (really dont want to spend more than that as its just the 3 of us on Xmas day and I like to have a whole turkey or at worse a turkey breast.....and has to be free range!!

    Halloween

All sorted.....lists made for food to get for party (in co-op with niece). Halloween cello bags arrived today.....made some mini magnets on Vista-print for favours for the baby shower guests...so going to put them in bags with some choccys.

    Half term - October

DD is 20  (I am only 38) lol

    Stockings

Not doing stockings......doing Xmas Eve hampers (even DD wants one!!) But have got all little pressies sorted for DD.

    Ebay

Sold a skirt on last free listing for £18 ....so hoping to get some more sold.

    Christmas Lists
Done - In Xmas note book and all transfered to spreadsheet with costs etc etc

    Secret santas presents

    ????

    Christmas Tree

When I put tree away last year I wrote list and stuck on inside of cupboard where stored of what decs we have. Unless we change the colour scheme.... Nooooo, then not buying any decs.

    Christmas Presents - Batteries

Always do this now since the dreaded "oh no we havent got the batteries" and had some free batteries in the post today, got a load of AA and AAA from poundland recently aswell.

    Christmas paper

Got all the paper out that I put away last year to see what I will be needing.....am waiting for more stock to come into poundland as I want specific colours. I was going to order some from Studio but when adding it all up and postage...works out cheaper to get from shops.

    Time for the chat

I agree....xmas gets more and more expensive....we stopped buying for adults years ago in the family and had a rule that we only buy for the kids. However I have 2 grown-up nieces that I buy for and my big brother.

    Pampering

Luckily my DD is a hairdresser and she has been on at me about my hair needing a good cut!! She is also going to put some colour in it for me. (cover all the grey)

    Christmas Cakes

Dont do them....no-one like them in our family.

    Hampers

I have looked for cheap baskets and came across some plastic baskets in poundland that have handles on them (more like bags) anyway I got 2 of them for 2 pamper hampers....My xmas eve hampers for kids are going to have a cardboard base covered in paper to give it a firm base. I also have a few cardboard boxes to cut down and cover.

The School Presents - Mums challenge

Organised to do....DD and myself. Also got some magnets with DD's picture for gifts.

    Last one - promise - "Don't forget"

LOL....I am forever forgetting where I have put something and we live in a 2 bed flat!!!! But am totally organised this year.....got cards out that were left over from last year and ordered some from vista-print that I have done with funny characters (myself, DH and DD). :)
Never buys anything at full price unless completely forced to do so!!!
  • Oh and red lips.....I am always buying the lips and teeth chews from Tesco's. 3 for £1 I think But they are mixed in one bag.....Asda do them on own if I remember rightly.
