Priority is to find a part time job first so we have some extra money for Christmas. I think we have finally agreed that DS can have a laptop. Even though its a masive present, he is very sensible and I know it won't be used just for entertainment because he loves making comics, story books etc.. We will sit him down and tell him that his pile of presents will be much smaller than his little sisters first though!!
I have all the stuff in for a massive crafting session which I am looking forward to, but am awaiting a new guillotine from amazon, as my last one broke!
Need to get through the food in the garage freezer so I have room and can start to freeze some cakes and mince pies. I made 3 lemon drizzle cakes yesterday, One for Mum, one for MIL, one for us, luckily I managed to drop them off yesterday so they got them fresh. (I always make cakes as son is very allergic to nuts and lots of cake in the shops have traces of nut warnings so I like to know the biscuits and cakes are completely nut free).
All uniform was sorted and labelled. Both the kids wardrobes are spotless. (I do now have a large pile of beautiful clothes to ebay or car boot though). My wardrobe has been 'cleansed' and my hubby has promised he'll do his this weekend.
The guest room needs a good clear out though as I have boxes of stuff in there, xmas presents and bits. I also have a bed of ironing that needs doing (thats on todays agenda).
Purchased a new ink cartridge yesterday to start printing out my various xmas lists!
Hubby came home with a massive 5lb bag of white mini marshmallows last night from work so I'll be doing little bags of 'freeze dried snowballs' for the school xmas party.
Lovely sunshine here in Cheshire so am off to hang out the towels before the ironing begins. This morning we had frost on the lawn...gave me a little tingle of Christmas excitement!! :j My hubby says I'm mad. :rotfl:
elysia2003 - hope you are feeling ok now after your scare. Surely an excuse to put your feet up for a week or so?
fedupandskint - Your vase sounds a great bargain and the locket is lovely. Your lucky Mum.
erm - love the m&s xmas shop.... but must resist. I have enough wrapping paper surely!
mum2one - the argos lockets are fab, such a lovely thoughtful gift of the trilogy one for your Mum, I got the pink travel set you recommended, great bargain thanks very much. A pink 'pineapple' bath towel and that set will go down nicely for my 12 year old god daughter!!
Someone has been very busy, glad you the pink set ok, there an absolute steal, we fell lucky our reserves were the pink as well... thiu think one will be going to Miss Hoodie (she only needs the dryer, and its not as thou she'll travel without me.... but for £5 - you can't even get a dryer for that). But plzed with the other 2, swop some prezzies around, and give 2 friends the sets instead.
Can't wait to I start wrapping xx
A big thnak you as well re locket, its gorgeous, I tried to reserve one for myself, but apparently I'd had the last one. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mary - There wasn't any Grandparents books when I looked today, but I'll keep an eye out for you. I thought I had your address from the cardmaking thread but I haven't. Could you pm me your address and I'll pop the fabric samples in the post.I :heartpuls M.S.E.

Can you spare OH...... for decortaing purposes!!! when it was Miss Hoodies 1st bday, there was a hole in the wallpaper in the dining room.so mum pulled a big strip, behind the curtains.... Miss hoodie will be 8 soon... still waiting....... thou its chipwood and if it gets pulled off the plaster is liable to cave in theres a big crack!! ...... So maybe a month!! (only joking)
Glad the dolls come, your doing brilliantly with the knitting, remember I had the sindy doll (thats going back a few years / more like few decades) and my friend had the Barbie, - barbie was bigger built..... xx
OH just buys the wall paper lol, its me who has to put it up. He don't mind painting but wall paper is my job. Need to paint the desk I built today so means clearing off my sewing machine and everything else for a day or two.
I had sindys too when I was younger, I had about 5 or 6 of them and her boyfriend Paul and her little sister Patch, and there was another doll caled Tressie whos "hair grew" lol, used to have two or three of those too. I used to make them clothes even back then out of old clothes that we were throwing out (nothing really got thrown out in those days, Mum used to have a large "rag bag" in the cupboard under the stairs and all the old clothes went in there for recycling).0 -

Molly's getting a couple of bouncy balls, a banana or two, a book, a pop up puppet thing (could make one out of a sock!), a stuffed snowman toy (must make that, again out of socks) and a book. You could take a couple of plastic containers and make rattle toys out of them - Molly's 13 months now and loves messing with that sort of thing.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
