    Hello all :j

elysia - glad you're ok. I had a scare a few years back and got whipped into hospital, kept overnight and sent home with a question mark over my head as to what was wrong. Next thing was appt. for one of those treadmill machines  Know what you mean about the steep hill !! My legs would have given out before anything else I think.............lol Anyway, they decided I was ok and that was that.

Loving the idea of a breakfast hamper...........don't know who for though as I've got stuff for most folk now............maybe it'll do for someone's birthday next year.

Anyone know where I can get a cheap 'Grandparents' book ? I've got one I picked up from the charity shop but was thinking one each for the twins who are 18 at christmas would be nice idea.

Done nothing today except a good tidy up as we had soc.serv. meeting this afternoon that went on and on and on.............tomorrow me and OH are on a first aid course (done it before but have to keep re-doing these things) so thats tomorrow taken care of:( Can think of other things I'd rather be doing.

susan -like the sound of those boots.........have to look them up I think.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Glad you're ok elysia and you sound much better today

mum2one - thanks for the argos tip off I've just reserved the last trilogy one and the mum one while I decide which one to get for mum -probably the trilogy one atm to go alongside her anniversary present. Hoping they are nice for the price!

    Mums anniversary present cost:
Crystal Handblown Vase £22.50 (rrp £55)
    9ct gold Trilogy Locket £29.99 (rrp £84.99)

    Total cost £52.49/ £139.99 saving £87.50

Can that be right???? It seems to be, just spoken to my brother who likes this idea and agreed to go halves meaning its £26.25 each!

Thanks for all the tips for this - thats a big help!

I've just been in M&S and BHS and WHS they all have Christmas cards out - no gifts as yet but it's starting!!!

Thanks for the Argos tips Mum2one!

Susan - you take care of yourself, we don't want you to have another!
DITTO - from me as well.

Update on health scare - I had a treadmill test at hospital yesterday. Hooked up to ECG machine started off walking pace and then sped up and got steeper so it was like I was running up hill. Was on there about 9.5 mins in all, should have been 10. I would have had heart attack if they'd left me on there any longer. LOL. Heart OK. (like I said all along) Need to keep taking tablets regularly but I'm terribly forgetful. If any more problems ask GP to refer me to have a camera down. Don't like the thought of that. Conclusion - I'll live. :rotfl:

Hope everything goes ok, you need to take care, get those tablets down you........ def agree with the I live - if it was a box of chocs be different matter xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

They'd got one in Home Bargains which was less than a pound - can't remember exactly how much.

Do you have a home bargains by you Mary? If you don't I'll have a look at my one and if there's any I'll post it to you. I was in Marks & Spencer and saw some fabric samples free so I picked some up for you. Not sure if it's too thick (lovely quality) but I'm sure you'll come up with something. ;)

Thanks for the get well wishes everyone! You're all wonderful.

    Morning everyone

Bad rain here this morning, hasnt stopped since I got up and its pitch dark.

Got the barbie dolls, the clothes I made already fit but a bit snug on the barbie, the other doll is similar but with bigger eyes and lips and slightly different shape and they fit her alrights. Will be making some more a bit bigger so they will fit both easily. Started knitting some jumpers last night, have done two but they need sewing up and finishing off.

Started painting the spare room yesterday in the day time, OH said he will get the wall paper next week so I can get the room done. Will be nice to get it all looking smart in there as not been done for a long time.

Elysia - stern talking too, take the tablets, i got three of those days of the week pots, two by the bed (morning and night) and one by the kettle....;)

And ty for well wishes, i do take care of myself honest, except when OH goes to work and I get a bit carried away:)

  • Hi everyone!

Haven't been on for a while, been flat out with the kids all back at school and trying to get back into a routine . Haven't time to read back through all the posts, but hope everyone is keeping ok?

I haven't done very much Christmas stuff or even much for the challenge :o but am hoping to find some time early next week.

Just wanted to drop in and say Hi! :D
