Cookiecrumbs - hope you get home ok today.
When you go to the big craft fair at Alexandra Palance, what do you think you'll buy?
Elysia, very glad you are ok.0 -
Phew time to get sorted properly now. Kids are back in school and I now have time to do stuff without them wanting to join in!!
Priority is to find a part time job first so we have some extra money for Christmas. I think we have finally agreed that DS can have a laptop. Even though its a masive present, he is very sensible and I know it won't be used just for entertainment because he loves making comics, story books etc.. We will sit him down and tell him that his pile of presents will be much smaller than his little sisters first though!!
I have all the stuff in for a massive crafting session which I am looking forward to, but am awaiting a new guillotine from amazon, as my last one broke!
Need to get through the food in the garage freezer so I have room and can start to freeze some cakes and mince pies. I made 3 lemon drizzle cakes yesterday, One for Mum, one for MIL, one for us, luckily I managed to drop them off yesterday so they got them fresh. (I always make cakes as son is very allergic to nuts and lots of cake in the shops have traces of nut warnings so I like to know the biscuits and cakes are completely nut free).
All uniform was sorted and labelled. Both the kids wardrobes are spotless. (I do now have a large pile of beautiful clothes to ebay or car boot though). My wardrobe has been 'cleansed' and my hubby has promised he'll do his this weekend.
The guest room needs a good clear out though as I have boxes of stuff in there, xmas presents and bits. I also have a bed of ironing that needs doing (thats on todays agenda).
Purchased a new ink cartridge yesterday to start printing out my various xmas lists!
Hubby came home with a massive 5lb bag of white mini marshmallows last night from work so I'll be doing little bags of 'freeze dried snowballs' for the school xmas party.
Lovely sunshine here in Cheshire so am off to hang out the towels before the ironing begins. This morning we had frost on the lawn...gave me a little tingle of Christmas excitement!! :j My hubby says I'm mad. :rotfl:
elysia2003 - hope you are feeling ok now after your scare. Surely an excuse to put your feet up for a week or so?
fedupandskint - Your vase sounds a great bargain and the locket is lovely. Your lucky Mum.
erm - love the m&s xmas shop.... but must resist. I have enough wrapping paper surely!
mum2one - the argos lockets are fab, such a lovely thoughtful gift of the trilogy one for your Mum, I got the pink travel set you recommended, great bargain thanks very much. A pink 'pineapple' bath towel and that set will go down nicely for my 12 year old god daughter!!A small Thank You can make a BIG difference0 -
Hello
Anglea - thanks very much - I did manage to get home last night (after two hours sitting on a bus in traffic ) But thankfully everything seems to be back to normal today so there shouldn't be anymore problems!
I picked up a couple of those big jars with the sealed lids in Asda at the weekend - only £1 each, so I'm going to use one to fill up with sweets for my sister's Christmas box. I got a spare because when my OH sees me doing it he will no doubt want one too!
Hope everyone is ok.0 -
Cookiecrumbs - I am hoping to get to the craft fair at Alexandra Palace too. I think you will find its on 7th 8th 9th and 10th of October. I am going with my SIL and we are meeting up with my Sis there so really looking forward to it. I am saving all my £2 coins so I will have a bit of pocket money to spend.0

Hi
Rufusdog - there is a stamp and scrapbooking fair there on 25th and 26th of September. There's also a knitting and stitching show from 7th - 10th of October.
I might go to both!! :j0 -
Collected the locket I reserved yesterday and it's lovely.
Glad the anniversary present is complete now - better look out for a card now then some wrapping paper to make it look nice, unless I have some suitable red stuff stashed away in my drawer. In fact as I type I think I have something that will do nicely - a nice small bag and matching paper in burgandy french toille design - will go and have a look to find it!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Bad rain here this morning, hasnt stopped since I got up and its pitch dark.
Got the barbie dolls, the clothes I made already fit but a bit snug on the barbie, the other doll is similar but with bigger eyes and lips and slightly different shape and they fit her alrights. Will be making some more a bit bigger so they will fit both easily. Started knitting some jumpers last night, have done two but they need sewing up and finishing off.
Started painting the spare room yesterday in the day time, OH said he will get the wall paper next week so I can get the room done. Will be nice to get it all looking smart in there as not been done for a long time.
Can you spare OH...... for decortaing purposes!!! when it was Miss Hoodies 1st bday, there was a hole in the wallpaper in the dining room.so mum pulled a big strip, behind the curtains.... Miss hoodie will be 8 soon... still waiting....... thou its chipwood and if it gets pulled off the plaster is liable to cave in theres a big crack!! ...... So maybe a month!! (only joking)
Glad the dolls come, your doing brilliantly with the knitting, remember I had the sindy doll (thats going back a few years / more like few decades) and my friend had the Barbie, - barbie was bigger built..... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
