Not much else present wise on offer - some gift sets but not many. I think someone mentioned before that the King of Shaves Sets were on offer I think there was one for £2.50 down from £10 if you want to squirrel one away for a pressie.

    Hiya

Are these sets in Sainsbury's too (if they're still available that is !) DH now only uses King of Shaves so one of these for Fathers Day would be great to stash away :T

  • Hi All,

Went into Matalan today and their wrapping paper is now half price, along with all the Christmas stock.

I bought some padded hanger sets reduced from £5 to £2.50, and when I got to the till found out they were now 2 for the price of 1, so worked out at £1.25 each :T Think all their gifts are now half price, then 2 for 1, but check at customer serives to be sure.

  • Hi Everyone,

Its that time of year again where I try and get lots of bargains but I used to forget what I had bought until another kind MSE'r (I don't have her user id, sorry Joyce!) sent me a spreadsheet.

I have a spreadsheet that is password protected that I received from a fellow MSE'r last year that is perfect for recording anything to do with presents. It has columns for presents bought/needed/costs/savings and has tabs at the bottom for individuals. This can obviously be tailored to your individual needs.

If ANYONE would like a copy then I'm more than happy to send it on. I have found it an absolute godsend this year. Please PM me with an email address as i will have to send it as an attachment but please be assured it is bug free!!!

  • Can I join to please. Wnat to get organised early as my daughters b'day is right after Christmas and gets forgotten about till last minute! If I was organised earlier for Xmas it might help!
  • Can I join too??
This year I thought I would keep a spreadsheet of all the people we had to buy for and how much was spent. I thought it would be around the £400-500 mark and was flabbergasted when it came in just under £1000!

We don't even host christmas dinner!!!! So I am determined to make sure this does not happen again and have already made a list of all the birthdays/occasions etc throughout the year and the people I need to buy for.

I thought I was relatively organised but obviously not... I still have a lot to learn

Yes they are - there were some in the seasonal isle and some in the men's toiletries section.

The one I saw was £2.50 with a nice looking razor and full size tube of something (sorry can't be more specific!). There looked like there were a few different ones in the men's section too.

Good luck and I hope you find one or two you like and can use as a gift :D
