Yes they are - there were some in the seasonal isle and some in the men's toiletries section.

The one I saw was £2.50 with a nice looking razor and full size tube of something (sorry can't be more specific!). There looked like there were a few different ones in the men's section too.

Good luck and I hope you find one or two you like and can use as a gift :D

    Thank you!

I need to drop a few bits off to a friend before Saturday so might just have to do it tomorrow morning instead as it takes me past a large Sainsburys :D

    :jHello Ladies!

First of all let me wish you all a happy and healthy new year!!!

Me - well i am only 17 so will be staying in and enjoying a drink , can't be bothered will all this trying to get in a pub underage just to end up drinking some cheap cider on the streets lol. (Bit old before my time i think!)

Instead today I have cleaned my room ( have loads left to do ) and looked through my bags of presents for next Xmas!

    So far I have

Nan- A lovely purple scarf pound in pound land ( looks like it could cost a whole bunch more and i always give her a small/cheap thing with her proper present so she has more then 1 thing to open lol) That is already wrapped and tagged for next Xmas.

My friends 9 year old has for next Xmas High school musical lip gloss's on key ring reduced to 79p (forgot to give them to her this Xmas .. whoops.)

And now my mind has gone completely blank LOL

I have all my wrapping paper , tags and cards (brought in the sales of course) And 2 merry Xmas teddy bears. (reduced to 50p and are lovely and cute perfect stocking fillers)

I have also devised my first folder (this is for bank/identification/solicertors( i was in accident in a taxi 1st of Dec)

and certificates and test results (as i go college and training and full time work so i always end up needed to show different tutors/boss's different things to prove i have done them ect.

The next folder will be for my spending , i need to learn to save better and stop impulse buying. I have refused to sign up to any catalogs, loans , over drafts anything for when i turn 18. I have my debit account and i am happy with that (with no over draft i may add) I have seen family/friends get into debt and there is no way i am doing that. I dont pay rent at home( as am only on 95 a week apprentice wage) so do not have to worry about moving out so will spend the next year-two years saving for my first flat (Which i hope to privately rent locally also i need to save for driving lessons , although my provisional has already been paid for!

The last folder will be Xmas/Birthdays/Nights out/Special occasions and leisure money. i will also keep travel reciepts and once a month i plan to go through them and see if there is a cheaper way to live my life lol. I may sound like a bit of a geek but my philosophy is in 10 years time , i will live in a nice house , with a nice car, with nice clothes and financially stable bank account ...maybe im dreaming but that is the ultimate plan! x

Wow you could teach my 17 year old a thing or two! You sound very organised and it's good to have a plan I always think even if life doesn't always go to plan. Hope you find this thread as useful as I have:D.

My 18 year old could learn a thing or two from you! (I wish)

Although she tries to be organised and she has bought half of her christmas presents for next/this year, she not very good. She's supposed to be living in halls at Uni from September, goodness knows what she'll do then!!! :D

Happy New Year everyone - hope there's not too many headaches this morning!

Junior_J - you have a fantastic outlook for your age - I wish I had been as switched on at 17. I'm sure you will achieve all your goals!

Still not been to the sales - hoping to get next week when the kids are back at school - do you think there'll be anything left!?!!

Recycled some of DDs' presents - (they haven't even noticed some bits are missing!) and am aiming to do movie hampers for most of next (this) year's pressies. So will be on the lookout for cheap DVD's etc!

I hope this year is good to everybody.

    Hi Everyone,

Its that time of year again where I try and get lots of bargains but I used to forget what I had bought until another kind MSE'r (I don't have her user id, sorry Joyce!) sent me a spreadsheet.

I have a spreadsheet that is password protected that I received from a fellow MSE'r last year that is perfect for recording anything to do with presents. It has columns for presents bought/needed/costs/savings and has tabs at the bottom for individuals. This can obviously be tailored to your individual needs.

If ANYONE would like a copy then I'm more than happy to send it on. I have found it an absolute godsend this year. Please PM me with an email address as i will have to send it as an attachment but please be assured it is bug free!!!

Thanks SOOOOO much for this Sugar. I've done mine this morning and so far I have spent £133.31 towards Christmas, birthdays, and mother's day (not including DD2's birthday this month as I already had those :D) but I have saved a massive £176.11 and I know who's got what and for what occasion. :T

Not geeky at all, very clued up. If I had this outlook previously I would be living in a nicer house, with a nice car and a financially stable bank account. I wouldnt have to be at work, we could live comfortably on OHs wage if we didnt have stoopid stoopid debts, allowing me more time with my lovely little boy. Long may your sense reign! :T

Hope you all had a lovely night last night. We went to a friends for a bit then to my Auntie and Uncles. Pip saw in the New Year despite only being under 1!

Action stations and all hands on deck now to get ready for his first Birthday party on Jan 9th!

Hi everyone, I've been lurking here for a while and am seriously impressed with how organised you all are.

I have always put bargains away for future gifts but it has been a bit haphazzard. There are a few things that are in my 'treasure chest' of gifts in waiting that have been waiting rather too long. This year I am going to be much more organised.

Cany you guys explain how you value your gifts. That is to say, do you buy gifts to the monetary value that you would have spent, which makes it look as if you have spent more, or do you stick to a gift that has a ORP (original retail price) of what you would have spent, therefore saving actual money?

Also when buying to put away for the future, what doesn't keep so well? I bought some pot pourri in M&S the other day for next Christmas but felt I should buy the spray to pep it up, just in case the pot pourri had lost it's scent by next Christmas. How about toileteries, have you had any disasters?

I'm off to set up a spreadsheet and notebook.........
