    Hello all :j
Just finished watching footie............:( Not good..........and OH is looking

mum2one - nice idea of putting purse charm on a piece of card..........could do that and make a sort of envelope for it to go in.....save it getting all tangled up as well. I've got loads of beads and bits that are kicking around doing nothing (hence button necklaces and handbag charms......way of using stuff up). Need to get some of those lobster clip things before I go much further.

Angela - my computer desk was a white melamine one and I painted it in a sort of coffee/beige colour then went over it with a dry brush making sort of grain marks -did the bookcase like it as well so it sort of fits in -plus the muck doesn't show as much.............lol:rotfl:

Didn't go to summer fair -much too hot.......OH went and said it wasn't as good as last year so I didn't miss a lot (mind you bet I'd have found something............lol)
Foster daughter came round intending to go and had a change of mind...........she'd driven from the village and that was enough...........she went home to find a cool corner somewhere in the house.
I was ok in the kitchen so went through my notelets, made a few more with some odd bits of paper and even made some envelopes...........had to when I found I hadn't got any the right size:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Well done for finishing your assignment :) I've been writing my class's reports for most of the day and I'm giving myself a break now as I need to make my brother a birthday card. I found an excellent picture of the two of us when we were little. It shows us sitting together with me grabbing him for a big kiss, it's so cute! I'm going to have that on the front of the card, probably mounted on some 'manly' looking paper.

I'm planning on using bit of cardboard, to put them on, and then write purse tag, so saves me buying a purse...... def love the idea of he verse for the handbag charms x

Yes, that it what I do with some of my jewellery bits- mount them on card (sizzix circles normally), embellish the card and write "handmade bag charm/bookmark etc"
I love the idea of a verse too :)

Good luck with the class reports, would love to see that photo.

Couldn't believe got the assisgnment back within the hour and got 73%,in all honestly was only expecting 40%, lost the plot on parts, -financial shares, banking, mortgages, rates of something with a lot of long words.

But got a well done - (thank u mse site), mentioned about maximum protection was 50k, used Santander as an example - they own Abbey, Bradford and Bingley and Alliance and Leicester - theprotection for that lot would only be 1 set of 50k protection, basing assesment on 200k.....I wish!!

    Very happy xx

Clare - sorry to hear about all the hassle you're been getting. I really hope you get everything sorted or you'll be rocking in that corner for a long time LOL.

Thanks Angela. I'm lucky really as we're having all this new stuff, but talk about stress! I'm back in work today after maternity leave and it's surprisingly relaxing at the moment! lol

mum2one - great challenge as usual! Love the incentive of prizes! Unfortunately can't do the freezer one as we've just had a new one so there's nothing interesting hiding in the back of it!! lol
I'll definitely start the Christmas planning now though - now I'm in work I get the chance to sit down and sort things like that (don't tell the people I work for!!! hehe I work in a college - Summer is quiet! :D ) Anyway, I need to look at last year's spreadsheet and transfer some of the info over to a spanking new one for this year - the challege is to spend less!!
And well done on the weight loss!!! I need to get my bum in gear again....

mary-op - I love the sound of your button necklaces! Thanks for the links! Hope your nose doesn't provide any additional unexpected bleeding!

Still thinking on what I'm going to use the baby milk tins I have for. There's been loads of suggestions on here, but I was wondering if any of you had ever done anything plant related with them??

Oooo Angela, your white computer desk - you could do the same with printed off pictures!!

    Hello all :j

Anyone else wilting with this heat.....??? It's too much for me.........not helped by nose bleed (again ) this morning while I was on the loo !!! Went off to see GP...........he gave me some antibiotics -said it could be an infection (up my nose ????) and is referring me to ear nose and throat boffin -thank goodness...........regular GP has been saying he'll do that cos of the buzzing in my ears but just gives me ear drops instead. This chappie looked at ears.......nothing wrong there he said..........so, with cotton wool stuffed up my nose and loo roll in my bag I went off to chemist to get prescription. He said if it carries on to go to A & E  Seems to be alternate days (Thurs. Sat. Today) and for about half hour...............not sure whether to fret or not...........oh well, maybe tomorrow will be ok and we'll see if nose runs true to form and starts again Wednesday................lol
So, what with footie, extreme heat and nose bleeds not much done at all lately apart from check my lists and try and work out who will be having what.
Upstairs stash room is enough to suffocate you so I went up, added lobster rings to pebble key rings and came out pretty damn quick. Think we've got a week of this...............(moan moan..........:() Wouldn't it be bliss if we could set the temperature just how we like it ? For me............pleasantly warm would do................:rotfl:

I'm wilting in this heat, think more coz its stuffy, spent mos of the day printing off the next couple weeks OU work.

Hope the nose bleeds stop soon, know that feeling shut the door, decided to do a tidy up of my craft boxes, - made them look a bit more reasonable, and made 5 necklaces up, ok \I cheated, brought 5 chains, and 5 dog charms, look really gd, only worked out at 85p each.

Will get some phoos done for the weekend, and put on. xx
