well done mary on your £1 present, which sounds gorgeous by the way. You are so creative.

I can't remember who it is who's very good at giving kicks up the bum, but I need one please! Keep thinking 'must tidy the house', and it just dawned on me this morning that I only have 3 rooms to do - just 3! Please give me a kick so I can do DS2's this weekend - I have been very lazy on the clearing out front lately but am sick of looking at it now.

Emiliah - great idea on the notebook. I'm going to get a notebook to write down how much the different meals that I tend to make actually cost, that way when I need a cheap week shopping-wise I will know which to make.

You sound exactly like me last week! It was Susan who gave me the kick, but I'd be happy to oblige! ;) Consider yourself Kicked!!!! :rotfl:

Have been busy already today - Haven't stopped since I woke up, so I'm just having a cuppa and a five minute sit down before going to Asda.

Have a nice afternoon everyone. Be good! :D

    Hello all :j

sarah - Ouch !!!!! That hurt  Much needed I know but far from tidying up I've made a bigger mess than ever:eek:
Started my first 'proper' scrapbook today.........taken me ages and I've only done two pages (and thats just with the piccys -no journal bits or embellishments yet !!)
I'm doing it as a sort of family history so had to drag all my family history files off the shelf (memo to self -re-organise shelves so files are easier to get at !)
Then had to photocopy photos -when I'd decided which ones..........................still, looks ok and OH given it the nod so I'm happy.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi and sorry I've not been around for a few days!

Great challenge Mum2One, lovely cake Cdsmiler and Foxy please remember that the clocks go FORWARDS this weekend or you'll be 2 hours behind everyone else lol!

Anyway, I had an accident whilst gardening yesterday and dropped a huge wooden trough on my foot (it slipped out of my hand through that horrible green slim stuff that builds up). So after a few choice words I managed to hobble into the house, kick my boot off and lie on the floor quickly because I thought I was going to faint. Rang DH, so he drove home from Manchester (about 30 mins away from home) then we had to pick up DD2 and go to hospital. Fortunately it's not broken, just very badly bruised so I am now hopping around on a crutch - talk about cramping my style! :rotfl:

However, I am looking forward to getting on with the challenges over the hols - one tip is to use some of the kids eggs to make their cakes/biscuits etc, it saves money and gets rid of a few of them :D

I bought all of my b'day cards up to the end of April, so need to get started on the rest of them now. Will check in again soon.

mum2one - you ought to give it a go.............really it's a bit like a photo album with bits added...........it's only me fussing and not being able to decide which photo goes where that takes the time I'm sure............:)
