Don't apologie for mamouth posts yoy haven't seen some of mine!! Thats brilliant news about ds2 bed, bet he can't wait for it.

Lurk away, pop in and say hi anytime, were one big family xx

Thanks mum2one! DS2 loved the big bed - have a brilliant photo of him leaping on it with a big grin. The room still has toys EVERYWHERE but having put in the proper bed and moved the other furniture around it's so much better already.

    Sarah I'm loving your countdown!

    MOTHERS DAY MEMO BOX
We had a slight technical hitch at the weekend dd and her friend tried out the memo box idea....... worked a treat, but brain box forgot to take the photos of the stages, luckly were doing them with another friend at the weekend, so will post instructions, but will add photos after weekend– great present not just for mothers day, (thinking nannas, grandmothers) but any very money saving homemade gift..... off children they get the “aren’t you clever”...

We're not doing mother's day beyond the free photobox card that I sent mine yesterday ... but since I did send the card it's technically done :)

    EASTER EGGS
No I haven’t gone mad, feels like it at times, but the price was is getting better with eggs, Tesco and Asda had a selection for £1.00, now Morrisons have jumped on the band wagon with a large selection of eggs at half price....... just put them out of prying eyes and little (or big fingers).

We're also not doing Easter eggs cause the baby's too small and I'm too padded :rotfl:

    CLEANING
I couldn’t let a month go by without getting somewhere sorted + cleaned, this month its the kitchen..........

    Kitchen Draws
How many times have we gone to look for something in the draw and find 4 corkscrews... or dozen wooden spoons, graters and every but the kitchen sink. If it hasn’t been used for 12 months, then do we really need it!

I'm on it, we're sorting our kitchen as I type.

    RECIPIE BOOKS
Recipie Books – I remember reading an article that says we only use a few recipies from a book. My Bero book and Dairy Cookbook (back from the 70s), is the 2 best cook books for basics and recipies I can cook with dd. The others why not copy the recipie, (scan, write, type) then file away, and see if the cookbooks can be sold on ebay, car boots etc.

OH would rather get rid of me and the baby than the recipe books. Fo' serious.

    CUPBOARDS
How many times did we buy that item because the sales ploy was brilliant, or we thought that the new invention would look brilliant, how many plates or dishes have we kept from sets that have broken and we get a new set out.

I'm trying my best and we are getting rid of a LOT of kitchen stuff :j

    CHILDRENS SECTION
This is the bit that has to be done very carefully, when there not here, if your children are anything like Miss Hoodie, she hates parting with things, I’ve lost count of the number of half set of McDonalds glasses, that little sports bottle, those mini sandwich boxes, you think they need...
In our Kitchen, - the cupboards are in dire need of a major sort out, the last time we cleaned the top of the cupboards, last year, we found newspaper dateing back to the 1980s. Everytime we had a Christmas pud, instead of chucking the plastic container away, it went in the cupboard just to warm the baked beans up.

Very little that we don't use, although it might be time to pack the breast pump away till the next time.

The kitchen doesn’t have to be gutted in one day, spread it out, maybe the draws, one day, the unit the next.

    CHRISTMAS ORGANISATION
I Know last month was the get organised month in relation to the presents, see what you have got, what you need, etc.

This month – I want List... (no not a coffee Sarah, or tall, dark and handsome for me!)
Look at your supplies, I know it may be wrong time of year for Christmas Paper and cards, but have a look at your supplies and see what you need, and spread them and the cost over the months.

Done! I have paper, tape, cards, ribbon, bubble wrap, brown paper, bottles of great wine (for us), good wine for guests and gifts and craptacular wine for my mother, who always claims she can't taste the difference (she will with this one :rotfl:).

I also have all my gift shopping done too.

    Pick a treat-
    1. Get OH to cook a meal even if its beans on toast and he does the washing up, you put your feet up.

He cooks every night, but this morning I got a 3-hour block of sleep uninterrupted by Little Miss Sleep-is-Optional :j

I hope everyone's well? It's mayhem here all the time, but a good kind of mayhem.

All my shopping is done and I'm really pleased with what I have. Stuff for my parents and brother is all in their loft awaiting Christmas, stuff for the baby is all hidden in plain sight and when she gets a bit more aware I'm going to hide it all, and I've organised a weekend trip for the three of us for our anniversary/his birthday/my birthday where I get a spa treatment, he gets to go sphereing, and Molly gets to visit a llama farm.

Anyway, if anyone's buying gift experiences, I have a 10% voucher code for buyagift.com - you also get Quidco and they were the cheapest for the sphereing (even cheaper than the company who does it :rotfl:). The code anyway is 860192 and is a multiple-use thing valid till December 2011.
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
    Three gifts left to buy

Tesco have got special offer on their photo books for medium hard cover, its half price if you order before Monday (I think its Monday). Have just ordered one for my Dad for his birthday and it came to just under £8, that was with a chosen picture on the front cover. Didnt go for the glossy pages though as that was even more. Having it delivered instore in about 2 weeks. The code was MOTHERSDAY2010.

Had good intentions of getting some sewing done today so I can build up a few things for a stall but have been sat doing the book all morning. Will do some tomorrow now as OH is working all weekend so will have the house to myself.

Sarah - your countdown, for some reason the Seconds one seems worse than the others, perhaps because seconds disappear so quick all day long.
