    Hello all :j
Just popped on quick thinking I could print a load of stuff off My Documents with new ink cartridges...........that was a joke in inself..........I get weird colours -ever seen a dish of yellow minced beef ? I have now.................lol Neighbours daughter had a look then fetch her mum..........she went all round everywhere on printer (same one she's got) and no way would it work.............so Monday OH can take them back to the shop and I'll get refund.
Young girl who cleans came up today -her last day as she's moving away  Panic !! Then neighbours daughter said no worries she'd do it.................so its not all been bad.
Having a night on the sofa now to see Eastenders.........lol

Mary, are you ok now? You had another trip up the hospital lately didn't you?

I'm going to watch Eastenders too. I keep changing my mind about the culprit.

So... did any of your guess then? (the culprit on Eastenders)

Nice to see you back Savvy. I was worried something was up.

Boxes - don't mention boxes to me! Bedroom is looking like a storage depot not somewhere to relax. I only go in there to sleep now - it stresses me out too much.

Aww bless ya, we are having the kitchen and bathroom done (as a result of the cleaning challenge!) and the house is in utter chaos! The microwave is next to the computer, the oven is next to the TV and the fridge is hiding halfway in a cupboard in the hallway :rotfl:

Looks like its just the tiles to be laid and sealing left tobe done, I hope!

Also little missy has decided to not sleep during the night anymore so ee have been like zombies, you gotta love it when they are 6months old... right?! :p

Glad everyone is ok, will have to catch up on everyones posts now.... :rotfl:

I was in complete shock about Eastenders btw, poor Bradley, was disappointed it was Stacey though, I was hoping Ian was the underdog on this one

    Morning All

Was up early as couldn't sleep so made a start on baking my sister's birthday cake (having a party tomorrow at my bro's house for her 50th). Have half of it in the oven so got a bit of time to catch up on here.

Spent yesterday afternoon sorting out the spare room where I have my sewing machine and desk etc. OH helped me put a nice long shelf up above the machine (my craft desk is 6 foot long built into an alcove), want to get another one above that when I get some more bits of wood. I have 4 large boxes full of old clothes, curtains, jeans etc to cut up to make things out of. The shelf we put up yesterday is filled. I also had two sets of small drawers that used to go under a dressing table, wanted to put them under the desk each side but they were too tall but we managed to get some bits of wood off the bottom that were just on there for display and they fit now so I am really pleased with the afternoon's work.

Got my sewing machine back and the man has left me a scrap of fabric showing all the stitches he has managed to do with it so I am looking forward to having a go now its working again. Have told OH that I am going up to do some this afternoon or may be earlier so might get a few more bits done. I have got some fabrics and everything to start making some extra bits and pieces to put by for a stall later in the year if I can get one near by.

Have a nice weekend everyone xx

Well done Rufus - everything seems to come together at once doesn't it? Don't forget to post some pictures to make us all envious. You're so clever I always thought I was crafty but I'm a total novice compared to everyone on here!

Savvy - I have a lot of hassle to look forward to then? Have just ordered new kitchen. Surveyer came out yesterday. Have placed the order for units and worktops, just need to decide if we want B&Q do do the plastering and tiling or someone else. Waiting for quotes at moment so it'll be all go, soon. Can't wait now as this kitchen was left from previous occupiers and must be at least 20 years old.

    Hello all :j
Angela - yep - had a short visit to A & E last sunday after collapsing in undignified heap on kitchen floor........several hours and very young doctor later plus blood tests, lights in the eyes etc. they decided it was inflammation in one of my ears ! I've been given some pills.............not sure they make great deal of difference but I feel lots better now (touch wood it keeps on) and am taking it very very easy -doing as little as poss........;)

This morning I made a flannel bunny - pale blue flannel I found, blue ribbon left over from christmas, covered an old pill box and put some mini eggs in so thats inside. Stuck goggle eyes on, felt brown nose and stuck the brown whiskers under the nose. All fitted neatly into an old cappacino box I'd covered. Covered one for sons girlfriend as well -wasn't sure what to get her but found chocolate scented candle in my 'santas grotto' wrapped it in yellow cello, stuck little chicken on the top and that fitten in the box ok.............sons having a Noddy egg cup like he had as a child so thats them sorted :j
Bit stuck on what to do for teenage grandkids so made a sort of 'wallet' type thing and stuck it inside their cards -I'll pop a cheque in there for them. They're having driving lessons so every little helps.

Now all I need to do is get wretched printer ink sorted and I can get stuff printed off thats been waiting for ages...............including instructions for making button necklace and bracelet that I keep getting stuck on.
I won't let it beat me;)
