Hi
Welcome to the thread, join in were a lovely if not mad bunch... challenges are on the 1st 2 posts (get round toupdateing eventually!!)
Big hi to the dogs, what have you got?
Re Dooyoo, I went through phases of doing one type, eg TV programmes, internet, food in cupboards, food in freezer - extra incentive their for Santas Challenge!!
xxx
Thanks all for the welcome.
I have a border collie called Sam, a collie X called Suzie and a yorkie X called Fergie. All rescue dogs as hubby (every week) and I (when I can find the time) volunteer at an animal sanctuary and are suckers lol.
I keep a pen and pad with me at all times and always write lists of anything and everything and now I can use it to write down ideas for the dooyoo reviews and then just type them up when I get a chance. well thats the plan anyway.
I will try and keep up with the challenges but with 2 jobs and studying and three insane dogs to look after time is not my friend but it gives me a structure to trying to get things that drive me mad done all year round instead of leaving it to the last minute as usual hehehe.
Hi Kiwi - have seen you on dooyoo, you're already in my circle
Thanks elysia2003 I recognised your name from here and thought you wouldn't mind me jumping on board - wasn't entirely sure where to start.
KiWi0 -
Well I spent the Amazon voucher from Dooyoo on a couple of presents and somethng for me, so all is good! I want to keep this mug I bought for my brother though - it's space invaders and it changes colour with heat! How cool is that - haha!Sealed Pot challenge #508

I've also made some very easy Christmas ornaments with Japanese origami fabric quilting, but I couldn't find any pics online and I don't have any.
Have you made any like that?.
Me - no, I haven't made anything yet, except a lap quilt and a couple of other quilt tops. I'm more a procrastinator: reading about quilting, buying fabric for quilting, planning quilting, making notes about it, and looking it up on the computer! Never actually got around to doing much!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Loopychriss - you sound just like me!
Aida hasn't arrived so I had to double check christening is actually in May and not March. Thank goodness it definately is May - with the hold up - I still might be able to complete it in time.
Anglea - I'm doing a family tree cross stitch for a christening present. It's not particularly large, it may be a bit bigger than A4, but it's the biggest thing I've ever done.
How's everone doing lately - everything seems to have gone a bit quiet of late. I hope you're all ok.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

I haven't done much towards presents for a while, been reading about everyone else though. Will be back in the swing of it soon as my machine will be fixed by tomorrow and I can get on with things again. Have ordered some more fabric and trimmings etc. Want to finish off Dad's photo book as well, started it the other week, I am just a bit wary of how the photos will come out as they are all ones of my Mum who died in 1995 so none of them are from digital cameras and they are not the best of pics in the first place. I have been trying to enhance them myself. I'll have another look next week when OH goes back to work and I can sit and concentrate.
I am about 3 reviews away from another Amazon voucher so that will be £40 towards daughters birthday present. Thinking of a camera and the one I want is about £70.
Anyway off to London today as its my sisters birthday next week so going up to take her gift up.
Have a nice day everyone xx0 -
Have a good trip Rufus.
Have just used some of my Amazon vouchers to buy some Vampire Diaries books for DD1's birthday in April. I have been looking at them in Asda everytime I go in and thought I'll check on Amazon before I buy.
I think they are about £4 or £5 each in Asda but have just bought volumes 1 AND 2 fot £3.48, volumes 3 AND 4 for £3.49 and pre-ordered volume 5 for £3.49.
So just over £10 for the 5, then as DD1 has her student discount applied to our account (we all use the same one instead of having loads in different names) I got a further 5% off so got them for £9.93.
I still have £20.07 in the account Yay!!!! And will have one happy daughter!I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hello all :j
Not been about as Sunday I was in A & E (again !) This time (so young doctor said) its inflammation of one of my ears.........came over all weird I did and ended up on the floor !! So, been taking it easy and not been on computer in case it made me feel a bit dizzy.
Taking it easy but managed to get sons water colour coasters all done and wrapped.............foster daughters trug and kneeling pad came on Tuesday..........lovely shade of pale green so been filling that with gardening apron, mini tool kit, packets of seeds, candles that look like pebbles and then I covered a gravy tub in pastel green and popped some little flower pots in it with some copper plant sticks I found lurking a drawer (must have had them ages)..............she'll be really pleased with it(wouldn't mind it myself)
Tried to make a button necklace and got in right pickle........run out of ink so hadn't printed off instructions
So I'll have a look at them and see if I can memorise them for tomorrow.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
