I am so cross. I have got through to Ocado again to be told the operational team has now gone home, after being assured they will contact me to arrange re delivery, nothing. I am so dissapointed in their service.
I hope others have managed to get there's or at least a phone call.
Just a thought, have you checked that your contact details are still correct? I know I've changed my mobile and forgotten to change the number on my account before!0 -

You'd be surprised how often we ring a contact number to find it a dead line or 'It has not been possible to connect your call'. About 4 weeks ago I was actually out on my rounds early and I tried to ring a customer to deliver about an hour early but it was a dead line.
When I eventually got to the house they were waiting for me because they wanted to go out. Had they put their new phone number on I could have gone early and they could have gone out.
Another thing that slows us down is no house numbers or numbers that are so small they can't be seen from the road on a dark night. Black numbers on a white background work the best but house numbers under a security light are next to useless. Doing this job prompted me to buy a solar illuminated house sign. Mind you, if your neighbours don't have visible numbers too we just end up kerb-crawling with a torch!DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

This morning I was waiting for my order from Tesco and 10 minutes before it was expected I got a telephone call to say that they wouldn't be delivering my order as they couldn't get the vans out. They told me that I could pick up my order from a store over 20 miles away not at my local store.I explained that we were both disabled and that is one of the reasons of a home delivery but it made no difference.
As I had been given the telephone number for the head office I decided to give them a call to explain my dilemma and their reply was "what do you expect me to do about it"
They couldn't get the vans out but they expected me to get my car out.Tesco as become all powerful and does not care about its customers but one day the worm will turn.Roll on that day.
Not sure what you expected them to do if they can not get the vans out. It will have been coming from a store 20 miles away as they do not deliver from every store. They usually have one to cover a large area. Where I live we have 3 superstores close by, 1 about 1 mile away, but the deliveries come from the one furthest away.
They have a responsibility to their staff not to put them at risk, ie by sending them out in unsafe conditions. They do not have that responsibility to you, it is your choice. This is one of the few cases where they put their staff first. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

Well actually there WAS something they could have done. And that is to have made the phone call much earlier than 10 minutes before (was that 10 minutes before the 2 hour window or 10 minutes before the END of the 2 hour window?)
Depending on each individual store and how many vans they have, it would make a lot of phone calls for someone to ring. My store has 11 vans which go out 3 times a day with between 8 - 15 orders per van so, for my store, there was the possibility of up to 495 orders yesterday!
The last thing the store wants to do is cancel people's orders, especially if the pickers have already actually picked the order because that shopping then has to be put back on the shelves.
I've often thought about how much it actually costs the store to pick, pack and deliver one of these very large Christmas orders. If you imagine how long it takes to go round with your trolley and fill it, then put it in your car and then drive home. It would be interesting to see if it costs more in 'manpower wages' & fuel than the delivery cost of between £3.50 - £5.50?DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024
