My bloke came early at 7.45pm! :jStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -
My Tesco delivery slot was 8-10pm, arrived at 915. The guy said they were delivering all of yesterdays that got cancelled and only had a few more to do because they had drafted in lots of extra drivers.
Only 3 subs - 1 which I sent back.
Couple of items missing which I have had an email refunding within a few minutes.
Eggs broken but he said to keep those still intact and got a refund.
Very happy this year with Mr T.
Didn't really expect it to come as roads here pretty treachorous still.0 -

My delivery came! He said he should have been here at 9 ish but unfortunatley he had been covering a few deliveries in sheffield previously. His sat nav then told him to go across the moors to get to me (just on the edge of the peak district). He nearly got stuck, but got to me in the end!
Only one substitution which I sent back, nothing vital.
He declined my mince pies, he was on his last run and was sure there were some waiting for him at home.Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Can I say a big thank you for all the positive comments on here. I'm a driver for ASDA and normally we are flat out with the deliveries at Christmas but this year the weather has made it 10 times worse.
As regards to tipping, if you feel your driver deserves it then offer it. We are not supposed to accept them but we won't tell anyone if you won't.
Another thing some people might feel uncomfortable with but I'll mention it too (and I wish someone had asked me monday night!) It would be nice if someone asked if we need the loo. I quite understand if you live on your own or don't want anyone in your house, that's fine. I started work at 4.30pm on Monday and my shift is supposed to finish at 9.30pm... I didn't get back to the store until 11.30pm! 7 hours!!! and no loo break!! (I'm a woman driver and couldn't find a tree big enough to hide me!!!We're not allowed to ask the customers.

Hi
Thank you for those comments socks, I will remember to ask if they need the loo in future.
My delivery last week was Asda, and I had a flu bug and could not sit up, he brought everything in for me, I am very grateful for the job you all do. Most people would not think to ask about loo, but most of us would be happy to let you use the the facilities.
I did email Asda and ask if they would thank the driver for me.
Have a great Christmas0 -
My delivery has just been with almost everything there. Driver buzzed me and asked if I could give him a hand. I put my coat on got down to his van and he had changed his mind.
Glad he got here and only a couple of minutes late.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
This morning I was waiting for my order from Tesco and 10 minutes before it was expected I got a telephone call to say that they wouldn't be delivering my order as they couldn't get the vans out. They told me that I could pick up my order from a store over 20 miles away not at my local store.I explained that we were both disabled and that is one of the reasons of a home delivery but it made no difference.
As I had been given the telephone number for the head office I decided to give them a call to explain my dilemma and their reply was "what do you expect me to do about it"
They couldn't get the vans out but they expected me to get my car out.Tesco as become all powerful and does not care about its customers but one day the worm will turn.Roll on that day.if i had known then what i know now0 -
Well our delivery came on time, few substituations and one itme missing, cost £1 so could not even be bothered to ring about it.
I live in a street of terrace house, of course no parkign for driver so he had to block the road, thankfully the few drivers who had to wait were patient.Do people tip their drivers or is it just a Christmas thing? Are they allowed to take the tip? I know staff in stores are not allowed to take anything.
I tipped the driver, he seemed a bit shocked and tried to give it back. Was not a driver I had seen before, but large order, loads of heavy stuff so did not mind.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0
