Just a little lurker on this thread saying hi! Haven't read all the thread, but would like to ask a question. Is everyone putting £1 away a day or is someone doing it weekly or when they can? I don't really use cash much, only for groceries and don't really have that much money left and transfering £1 each day to another account seems a bit of a pain and I might not always be able to do that, but I like the idea...

I'm so impressed with how well we're all sticking to this challenge even if it is still month 1!

I think reading through the thread and keeping updated with posting helps:D

It's funny how achievable and easy this sounds, £1 a day, surely everyone can manage that...but then you think it'll be around £30 a month and my budget is just so tight...even if I want to go on one holiday, I need to find extra money from somewhere...I'll think about this one though...

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

I've started my little pot today but adding £10 to start catching myself up. It's my last little bit of living money until pay day (Mon) but I got fresh fruit and veg earlier and have plenty food/petrol etc to last. So now I'm not lagging behind miserably to much lol.
Will still catch the rest up on Mon tho.

Oh, also popped in £1.20 which I saved by conning my dear Daddy into giving me a lift home from work instead of getting a bus. :D

tirlittan, I understand how you feel as well. We generally live off about £50-60 a week for a family of 4. That's everything after bills. So food, petrol, parking, bus fares, school trips, harid cuts etc.
So I defo understand where you're coming from  Mostly my £1 a day's will be from extra bits which I've done (trying to save for a family holiday next year) and I'm mainly going to have to use odd bits out of my eBay proceedings etc. :o

I'll need to think quickly though, otherwise there'll be lot of catching up to do...I do 'Make £10 a day', but this extra money is destined straight to CC or anything else I need I have not got the money for...
