Of course you can take the item back if they have described it incorrectly. :)

i just bought one of these for my Mam.

They did say I can only take it back if its damaged or faulty.

I got the 30gb Zen Xtra a few years ago and neva had any trouble with that, altho probs a lot heavier and chunkier in comparison

Quite correct. I think you'll also find that the Argos web site also describes it as having a 2 inch screen when in fact it's 1.7 inches according to the creative labs specification/web site.

Its not as if Argos/insurers cannot test it and find that its still working and sell/auction it on somewhere else.
£20 insurance for a item that costs £110 is a bit excessive, so they must kind of expect people to take stuff back, if they can remember where they kept the receipt after 3yrs.
Just because insurers know that some people are prepared to commit fraud doesn't make it acceptable. I know that people would burgle my house if I left it without the alarm on, but that doesn't mean that they should be allowed to do it. Insurance crime is a fraud on all of us - think about that next time your home insurance premiums go up.

Once the flimsy factory fitted screen protector has fell off, why not protect your new Zen Sleek Photo with a screen protector. For £1.99 you can get a PSP screen protector from j4_london on ebay UK. As a PSP's screen is more than twice the size of the zen's screen you can cut it up and make 2 full protectors.
If you cut it to only cover the LCD screen itself (and not the surround) you can get 3 out of it !

Delivery is quick by 1st class post.

Oh and I have no connection with the ebay seller.

have sold out near me - am gutted as bought it and was very happy (even tho it did say sealed batter), sold my 3rd gen ipod, and now it has died on me - wont charge, boot up or anything. Wife tried taking it back, but because Argos dont do chip and pin refunds (even onto the same card) they wouldnt refund so now i have to go. so now without mp3 player. also concerned that it has some photos on the player if it ever does get refurbished - will they wipe the disc clear?

Managed to get one of these last Monday and am so pleased with it. I had been looking for a 20gb player for ages but needed one which would def' work via USB1.1, most ipods and other larger memory units are by USB2.
Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!
:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!

I have one reserved, but two questions before I collect it:

Can I just dump my mp3's on to it using XP's explorer or do I have to use their upload software?

Does it mind you putting "other files" on it (to use it as a backup device)? IE I might want to put the odd spreadsheet on it, and retrieve it later.

    thanks.
